DMs: Summary of DM Events

Okay, looks like we're all busy with stories and stuff, so I thought I'd start up another of these to keep track of it all.
I'm only going to post my stuff so I don't get anything too mixed up, and people can post their stuff here too.
Blood and Nightmares
Primary DM: Fictrix
Other DMs: Gasher
Scope: Huge
Summary: Beneath the Bloodwood, the living city of shadow (Archiax) has awakened. Syn seeks to strengthen his forces. Morgaruva plots to bring about the End of All.
Status: Running, with a conclusion coming 31 Oct 05

The Rangers of Mirghul
Primary DM: Fictrix
Other DMs: None
Scope: Medium
Summary: Mirghul is the largest natural habitat in all of Vives. It's protected by a loosely organised band of Rangers, and led by the local Mirghul Druid. The Rangers will be consolidating their presence in this plot (building Ranger HQ in Mirghul Clifftop Path, and will be adding the Druid's little house to Mirghul Coast... but I thought it'd be nice to have this actually develop over time and get players involved, rather than just plop in a new ranger lodge instantly).

Status: Running, no idea when the conclusion will be, but will probably finish up in September.

The Northern Rangers
Primary DM: Fictrix
Other DMs: None
Scope: Small (one-off)
Status: Finished
Summary: A non-DMed event for the opening of the Northern Ranger HQ (you might have noticed the Northern Rangers around the newb areas). Will be one session where I grab a character of mine and just have an informal babble session, where PCs can turn up to the HQ and we can have a nice Tales Around the Fireplace storytelling session.
Related Plots: None
Note to other DMs: Northern Ranger background forthcoming. HQ will be to the south of the Northern Highway.
Somnanda
Primary DM: Fictrix
Other DMs: None at this stage
Scope: Medium
Status: Still in brainstorming stage
Summary: The earthquakes caused by the near-cataclysm have unburied history's jealously guarded secrets and formed new geographical features where once there were none. Past the Sunix Woods there lies a recently unburied colony, a small subterranean settlement lost to time: Somnanda. How's this different to any other unburied civilisation, you ask? Well... it's an ancient colony of the Gnomes. Somnanda is surrounded by what appears to be an anti-magic bubble, its inhabitants living happily without the use of magic. Featuring mysteries to unravel, heretofore unknown lore to be discovered, and all that yummy crunchy storytelling goodness.

Hmm, far too organised for me. But here is my to do list, as far as it goes.
Introduce Mary, and Maeralax, and have some fun spreading lies, distrust and general mayhem. And gradually making Shiha understand some "truths" about dragons, and who she was actually reared by.
Restart the ingredient hunt for Luthers blades, probably starting someone new on that tonight. And when that is concluded, run the big showdown between Luther and Nu'men...maybe giving Daimon another crack at his sword in the process.
Play Sirac, and get the fire knives really going again, once the areas are ready.
Give Aurelya and Helkris a bit more attention.
Given the majority of our IG time is restricted to weekends, this will keep me busy for a while.

A) Develop Itarille and Silmarwen's appearance. Drawing quite a few things together at the same time.
1. Conlude (finally) the saga of the Tears - will involve the building of replacement areas for what was the Inner City plus a lair for Itarille beyond it
2. Extend the grotto in the Sacred Grove to include Silmarwen's as yet undiscovered lair
3. Introduce some pre-Minyaren history/myth/lore
All of this will involve a storyline around the dragons/tears which is currently being developed now, and I'll post more on what's currently happening and hoped will happen later on today time/work permitting
B) For the future:
Saerelinde is still uncrowned, that will happen in the future - but:
1. Camthalion is currently searching the records of Tel'Elena for any information on the Aristi for Blanche, a task he undertook under duress - he's extremely peeved at having to do it and was forced to do so (ironically by Saerelinde) in return for Blanche's tip off that Ferein was under no real threat from Midor - delivered via Luther to Elvalia.
2. He will, during that research, discover that Saerelinde's furthest ancestor was an Aristi twin resulting from a union between ((I forget the name and can't look it up since I'm at work)) and Elbereth. have already spoken with Paul about this and will probably be working together on it since it involves Midor/Blanche too.
3. This will start rumblings of discontent in certain corners of Ferein, particularly as far as Camthalion is concerned... whispering to the effect that the Nenharma line isn't truly elven etc. and even in some cases that she couldn't be crowned at all.
4. Ultimately, with the majority of the other members of the Council in favour, the coronation will take place, resulting in the assassination of Saerelinde ((being the reason Elrith was willing to give up the shard so easily, Tarik has already given her the task)).
5. This will ultimately result in Ferein being ruled by Nariel/Silmarwen - or at least led by her after a power struggle within the Council. Camthalion will want to lead but will ultimately be thwarted by the Elvalia seeing Nariel as a more attractive option ((she won't be the slightest bit interested in leading herself)). Camthalion will obviously be unhappy with this and consequently turn to Tarik.
6. Also of course Itarille will come into the equation and since this is a mix of old ideas and new developments will need to think about how exactly she will figure in things - maybe the pair of them Nariel/Itarille leading jointly. Either way Elvalia certainly will back away from any idea of her ruling.
C. I want to develop Latonei further, give it a history and a little more of a presence in the area, develop the characters of Strand and Shinesa further and expand on their role - maybe with a view to developing the Slyvian/Deep Forest region, some less evil/dangerous areas etc.
That's about it at the moment, though I'm sure there was other stuff which has escaped me as I type. |

Maerallax
Primary DM: Fictrix
Scope: Medium
Summary: Maerallax spreads lies and dissension, and is reunited with Shihaya'zad to help her "discover some truths" about dragons.
Status: Running but pretty inactive, will probably kick into full gear around January 06

Notes to other DMs: Unless someone wants to take Maerallax off my hands, this will have to wait. I'm on holiday for a month from 13 Nov 05, which would have been the perfect time to run this.
