Essential Vives History Posted: 11 Jun 2006 09:25 AM |
((The following is assumed to be known by absolutely everyone, even Commoners. For the sake of convenience, RL dates are used. Note that IG time [2 RL minutes = 1 game day] has nothing to do with actual Vives time and only exists for the sake of mechanics. One RL day is one Vives day. See the Starseeker Calendar if you want to try to convert the following to Vives dates.))
2003
11 June
* The Threat of Malagard: This is spoken of everywhere in the lands of Vives.
11 November
* Pickston and Jessup's Wild Tours: The organisation also known as PAJWT opens its doors in Port Royale.
2004
29 Feb
* Undead Invasion: Fri'el Skygem-Arna invades Midor with an Undead Army.
* The HQ of the Azure Lights is destroyed.
22 Mar
* Seeds of Darkness: The threat of Malagard is ended.
14 April
* Power Nodes: These appear everywhere in Vives. These stones are sought after by every power group or individual. At long last the Atalan start killing citizens from Midor, while blaming Xaranthir for their deaths. Eventually they all disappear and apparently no one sees Xaranthir again. He is presumed dead.
18 May
* Bloody Rampage in Midor: Midor is devastated by a bloody rampage. In the aftermath, Rayinor Liam is forced to impose harsher laws and delegate more power to the Midoran military.
10 Oct
* The Tears of Elbereth: Powerful shards known as Tears of Elbereth become tainted by Gukathul.
25 Nov
* The Opening of Nethar'u: Demons overrun the lands. The seals of Nethar'u - the hell that exists beneath the earth and houses all of the demons of the world - are broken. Elvalia Mellebin and Daimon Rabianarra are the names that are mentioned as saviours of the world.
2005
11 Feb
* Knight of the Long Swords: History records this day as Foundation Day, the day that everything changed in Midor. The Righteous Swords are unveiled.
2 Apr
* The Sickening of Ferein: The entire land of Ferein withers under the assault of some insidious and unknown force. It turns out that shards of a Tear of Elbereth have been tainted by Gukathul and must be found and restored.
4 May
* The Slaying of Gukathul: A showdown in Nebwood Temple leads to Aros slaying Gukathul. This is witnessed by those who were searching the Temple for a shard of one of Elbereth's Tears.
13 Jul
* The Battle of the Plains: The Loyalist Paladin Army marches against Midor and is defeated when Midoran himself manifests for the first time in history.
28 Aug
* Battle of the Three Sisters: Brimscale, Frezt and Vaastliax - three of the most powerful dragons in existence - battle on behalf of Naruth, Helkris and Vilyave. The battle is felt all across the lands, and natural disasters of all kinds erupt EVERYWHERE. Then there is a moment when it feels as if the entire world will - without any question whatsoever - END. The voices of all the gods (except Syn) are heard to call a ceasefire in unison. The battle ends with a display such as has never been seen before, as a fleet of dragons -of a size and power and majesty never seen before - take to the skies and restore order (more or less).
29 Oct
* The Hungering Darkness: Apparently as a side-effect of the cataclysm that nearly ended the world, the entire east coast of Vives is covered in a pall of darkness.
1 Nov
* Shadow March: Maldovia undergoes changes. A living mass of shadow forms beneath Valinor Castle, an entire pulsing mountain of it. The Sunbringers, vampire-hunters thought to be long gone from the land, make their presence known once more.
