"Weary, and undetermined of his coastal surroundings, he gathers himself off a broken wooden plank, rising from the beach as he brushes off the dreary sea from his clothing. He looks back to the sea, a home he once held with full-heart, is now so far off from him... yet so close but not in reach."

3. | Re: Welcome New Folks! Posted by Red Forest on 10/5/2004 8:29:26 PM Indeed!
My first post here and dang proud of being of finally being accepted. Finally found a RP server vault which peeks my interest. I've been searching for too long, and I think I've finally stopped and gained ground...
Just to make a few quick comments, even though I'm sure they have been repeated time and again by others. From first appearance, this place harbors a great atmosphere that suits to almost any type of roleplayer. The detailing throughout each area really ... |

5. | Re: HakPak Requests Posted by Red Forest on 10/8/2004 10:02:18 AM Oh! *Raises hand*
I've always wanted to see some sort of "realistic" coastline/beach in a PW. Seeing how there is plenty of it in Vives, I found a few coastline tilesets. I noticed someone else posted a few more just ahead of me. Just throwing my vote out there as well for these!

7. | NPC Tailor Posted by Red Forest on 10/9/2004 1:21:03 PM Just a thought here, since I've seen this type of NPC before on many other servers. What about adding in a NPC, or simply adding a script to the NPCs already in the tailor shops, which can tailor the clothes right on you for a price?
Just like when you click on your crafting ability, going through that whole setup.
Any thoughts towards this?
Cheers! |
8. | Re: NPC Tailor Posted by Red Forest on 10/11/2004 9:26:36 PM There's plenty of tailoring scripted NPC's on the vault. All do it differently through conversation. In general, you decide which part of the clothing/armor you want to alter, even the coloring if you want, and the NPC changes it for you for a certain amount of gold. Which depends on the total cost of the armor. So if it's a +5 piece of armor you want to change, it's going to cost quite a hefty amount where as only a simple tunic would cost only a few.
The reason why I brought this ... |
9. | Re: NPC Tailor Posted by Red Forest on 10/12/2004 9:41:49 PM I'll be adding one in as soon as We've sorted out everything that is 1.64 :)
Great, thanks! I'm really looking forward to this update. |
10. | Re: The Headless Halfling - Eerel's Head Hak Posted by Red Forest on 10/20/2004 1:07:26 PM There is a file you can download, very small, that can unlock all the voicesets from the toolset.

It's a simple 2da file that you put in your override folder, enabling /all/ voices. It should be able to work fine in game once you pick the one you want through the character creation process.
Cheers, mate! |
11. | Re: Revisiting Quests for Loot... over and over again... Posted by Red Forest on 10/25/2004 4:22:37 PM As I see it, this will always continue to happen. If no one is around, no RP is going on, etc, etc... What left more can you do?
The only solution I see to this problem, would be to have a script which allows chests/loot respawn after a certain amount of game time once they've been opened and/or cleared. *Shrugs* |

17. | Re: Whopps, sorry Posted by Red Forest on 10/19/2004 2:52:31 PM Was a great party, yep. Nice atmosphere and good people. Finally Valarien had a chance to meet new people, which he rarely ever does so meet. Let alone, meet or come across anyone.
Cheers to ya, mate. |
18. | Re: The Death System Posted by Red Forest on 10/14/2004 2:04:43 PM I agree, fallen PC corpses would help RP go a lot smoother. The previous server I was on implemented this as well and it worked out great. The PC's body was "dead" and anyone could pick him/her up through an "object" above his/her corpse. The PC itself, was transported to an Afterlife generic area where he/she would remain until they were resurected through other PC's. They also had the choice of being resurrected without any help, but through a substantial hit to their xp ... |
19. | Re: The Death System Posted by Red Forest on 10/15/2004 12:44:12 AM Some of the best rp'ers I've known on this server, both as a player and a DM, have also been guilty of loving loot, xp, various forms of "power gaming", etc, etc. But when the chance to rp has come along they've been simply amazing. That's what matters, to me anyway.
Cheers,
Sirac
Cheers, to that! |
