1.Re: Custom Portraits
Posted by Jaded Prophets on 11/14/2005 9:31:55 PM
Heres the portrait I use for Vakal. Its how I wanted him portrayed even if it didn't fit the head. Mostly I couldn't find one that didn't look bad so I choose the one I'm using but for the most part his hair is how it is in the portrait most times.

And heres the one I use for Isabel Kons, that looks exactly like what I wanted her to be.

2.Computer prob
Posted by Jaded Prophets on 5/16/2006 10:34:51 AM
Hiya folks,

Wondered if anyone might know just why this is happening. I’ve got two computers. The first which I prefer not to use anymore works fine, this one not so much, and yet they seem almost identical in most ways.

Anyways. . .

On the Vives website when I get on, on this new computer, the text and the rest of the website is very small. To the point that, if I wanted to read anything, I would have to copy and paste the text. Needless to say, I don’t get on ...

Today was an exciting day. I am finally in Ferein, although it is a great place I think its to green I guess I would say. I don't mean that green isn't a bad color, oh no. Its just well - ok a perfect example. I was walking down the path and into the center of the city and as I'm walking down one of the many bridges low and behold is a massive stone obstructing my path. I look up and there is a ten foot tall green candle in the middle of the bridge. I admire the elves ...
6.A Bard's Story

//contains some violence and gore//

A dark blue, black bound book - a young bardess took in hand while sitting on a hill overlooking the sea. She peered at it for a great length of time before with a quiet nod opened it to the first clear page and picked up her quill. She with a pause and deep breath presses the quill to the paper and begins to write in a scholar’s hand.

Prelude

To whom it may concern, I write this with great reluctance. It ...

~page 3-6~

Five years had passed since that day and I spent my days in bliss talking with friends, playing my guitar in the plaza never straying to far from authority, and even occasionally when the rich noble would pass me a gold piece I would even have the honor of going to the café I loved so much.

Once I even saved up fifty gold pieces to buy this one armlet I liked in Omiga’s I was so happy...

~Page 10~

A voice, a whisper, the song of adventure.

Today started out innocent enough. I awoke along the edge of the wall in the Port Plaza, a stray dog licking my nose. I sat up quickly and dusted myself off smiling to the people walking by as they stared at the strange lady in blue and black. I didn’t mind, I never did. I always liked my life, it was simple but it had its moments. Sometimes I just wanted to watch others all day, even if it sounds silly, its really fun ...

Evanna strolled down the road humming a chipper song to herself glancing up at the Four Winds Inn as she passed while going to the Buckshire Trading Post. She made her way up to a tree that was often passed by as people went to the post and unrolled a parchment. Taking four small knives she stabbed one into each corner pressing it against the tree and with a nod left for her next great story.

The note reads:

Hello sir or madam, are you lonely, are you bored with your ...
10.A visit to the Vanderzee Estate
Posted by Jaded Prophets on 10/28/2005 3:47:16 PM
Sitting on the bed in his room in the Four Winds Inn the man looked across the room at the suit set so neatly placed on the dresser. It cost a sum and perhaps it would be enough with the right assurance. A slight shrug and he stood walking over to feel the fabric.

He heard from a select few individuals that a particular man may have something of interest but even more so he was from Midor. But why did he come to the port? The man sighed recalling the poorly robbery that occurred one ...

"Ah greetings sir." He said as he approached the lord and extended a hand.

"My name is Ven'tz Mu'rabanatuetz, a citizen of this here port, and I wished to welcome you personally. It’s a lovely place this is with people of all kinds but sadly...." He hangs his head a bit. "It has its lowlife like any town."

He them rose his head to look the man in his eyes. "I heard that your caravan was attacked on the journey here and for that I must ...

He smiled and nodded slightly looking over the book in his hands in careful detail. While he looks over the book he continues speaking to the lord.

"Honestly? My reason for bieng here is simple. First and foremost I had heard that you may have some magical talents and because of that I believe with my own that I may provide some insight into whatever problems you may possess and in return we might help one another in the future." He flips a few pages.

"You ...

He nodded swiftly and made his way back to the Four winds where after going to his room he changed back into his normal attire and brought with him a small sack of gold to Owe and placed it on a small table.

"Sir, I have here enough coin to pay my rent four fold. Please see to it that if a mister Ven'tz Mu'rabanatuetz is needed that and messages for him be forwarded to my room, I would be most appreciated.” With a nod and a gesture of thanks he left the inn without so much as ...

Two days later...

His conversation with Jessup couldn't have gone better he thought. This was it, the time to prove himself useful, and so he departed from his room of the inn under the cover of nightfall wearing his black leathers and long great coat, but this time his coat held a raven so perfectly nestled inside, to the estate once more.

Arriving at the door he checked and noted the lock open then took a few steps back to cast two invisibility spells. One on himself and ...

Ascending the stairs he - under the guise of shadow - searched what rooms he could keeping out of sight of any he had seen and searched the rooms taking careful consideration to leave things how they were. somewhat disappointed he made his way downstairs and out the door as quickly and silently as he had come.

Sitting in a familiar café just down the street the various people sat in hushed whispers about the bird helmed man in black leather who just strolled in and laid back in ...
16.A question on wands
Posted by Jaded Prophets on 11/7/2005 8:46:31 AM
I'm fairly sure this is in the right place, but I maybe wrong. Anyhow, here goes.

Recently I took craft wand with my character Vakal whom has an intrest in making them and I myself as a player like them just because of the concept.

However due to the amount of exp it costs and the amounts one recieves in Vives it would be difficult to keep at least a semi-steady flow of wands if Vakal wanted to lets say start a business. Not that its impossible.

Three examples ...

Life continued as normal, Vakal went day in and day out acting to put it quite simply, like a bumpkin or goof. Despite his abilities he felt and others reactions showed it, they thought he was a joke at the very least.

It was a cold rainy day walking through the Mirghul forest with Marrya and Tomi. They had went to see a Crag cat hunting ground Marrya spoke of, but as they pressed further and further into the woods a tension began to build in his mind. A deep seeded anger that ...
19.Of Blood, Shadow, and Ambition
Posted by Jaded Prophets on 10/28/2005 3:12:29 PM
The morning was cold in the Icy Vale slopes and on a large stair cased hill a dark figure sat on a now smoldering corpse, still letting off a almost silent hiss as the heated blood dripped onto the cold snow.

The figure looked out at the snow pondering life. It thought it funny at how so very little he had accomplished despite his efforts. He met three individuals who seemed to bare some use and he intentions were obvious. He wished to learn from them. From each he witnessed ...
