| 3. | "The spark that started the fire" Posted by Flashblade on 6/8/2005 12:46:09 PM Vindicar knew where he was. He always did, it was the rest of the world around him that seemed out of its normal order.
He painfully opened his bloodshot eyes and shook his head to clear the grave dirt from them. Sitting up he could now see he seemed to be in a shallow grave. It was at this point that it all started to come back to him.. The Midorian guard that tried to oppose him as he trashed the temple to the foolish folowers of light.. how he swung at him as he summoned forth the ... |

Lord Nu'Men,
Do ye really think ye can turn the people of our lands against me with your ridiculous claims?
I have risked my life for Vives and its people more times than i can remember, any ye claim i would willingly allow the forces of darkness to pour forth onto our upper lands?
I would rather die, than allow such a thing to happen.

Eleanor,
I do not not understand why ye seek to bid against me and those i reppresent?
If i aquire the knowledge to aid Johe and the halflings of Brandibuck i will immediately tell all those i consider to be their allies, so they can be rescued.
Johe is my friend.
I have already pledged to aid in ... |

Eleanor,
Were you replying to my message above, or some other message?
If mine, then if appears ye have missed a few things from it, such as what i actually said.
I never claimed to have only the purest intensions, as ye mis quoted me in ye missive above.
Yes, i am interested in the Foul mages artifacts. Yes, i want his coin, but i also wish to see the release of Johe, ... |

Eleanor,
before i thought ye may be mad.
Not it is strikingly obvious that ye are.
The consortium i reppresent have sold and borrowed a huge amount to win this auction, and part of the reson those some of us did was to save ye people. I have even forfeited my own soul if i do not keep up my repayments.
If this is using your people as pawns then i would happily be used as one!
Mayhaps, as ye ... |

If ye wish to contact me privately, i give ye my word your identity will remain a secret.
I would like to assist in Johes rescue, if ye will accept my aid.
I expect ye will have many debts of ye own and as my consortium have such a large chest of gold i was wondering if ye would concider selling to us any of the following..
The information required to free Johe and the Halflings, if ye ... |
| 9. | Re: ooc: auction for Malakai Posted by Flashblade on 5/31/2005 6:00:16 PM I utterly enjoyed this plot, it really gave me a chance to impliment aspects of my character that would never normally have a chance to come across. (Even if it encoraged shameless looting, and, even worse, crafting!)
:o)
I dont normally like political kinds of game but thought this was wicked. The different factions involved really came to life for me. Was sorry i could not make grand finalie!
It gave loads of entertainment interacting with the group i was with ... |

I play Brodi the Dwarf, who mystically powered himself up before popping a potion to make him supernaturally fast so he could try to grab the Dragons shard.
He is a dwarf, he was wearing platemail, but i percieved this real world physics to be superceded by the supernatural speed granted by the magic potion he ... |

Is it going to be part of an ongoing storyline?
Shame i missed the begginning. Would love to play more such events if the Dm's can fit 'em into their scheduals.

| 14. | Re: Sequencer Robes Posted by Flashblade on 3/3/2005 4:14:19 AM Heh all, slightly off topic, but from the perspective of a player whose characters have looted a lot in the past (i know, im bad!). There seems to still be a lot of very powerful items in the game, more powerful than some of the illegal items, such as the "Bloodletter" sword (i think Bloodletter is the most powerful item i have seen in the game, at one point i was considering running around with one in each hand as the only character i have of high enough level to use it!)

The whole thing was a really intense experiance, but a good one. I think my best experiances in Vives have been when part of a big group off doing something together.
I think its wicked when a computer game can get your heart pumping as you try to avoid your character getting killed.

| 17. | DM attention Posted by Flashblade on 12/22/2004 2:52:57 PM Not sure if there is already a method to do this, but how about a method whereby someone can let any dm's online know they are trying to interact with a npc?
This would cut out on those times when you spend a few minutes trying to speak to a npc before realise no dmj's are watching.
Or maybe this would overload the dm's workload stopping them enacting their devious plans...

| 19. | Invincible NPC'c Posted by Flashblade on 12/19/2004 8:08:40 PM Hello everyone, this is my first posting on the forums.
This is not meant as a flaming for anyone, but player feedback.I was told this would be the forum to post it on.
Firstly i would like to say i think Vives is great, it is by far the most enjoyable NWN server i have tried, and i do appreciate all the hard work the refs do to make the game more enjoyable for us all.
Anyway, from a pesonal players point of view i find it detracts from roleplay immersion if a ... |
| 20. | Re: Invincible NPC'c Posted by Flashblade on 12/20/2004 11:57:15 AM Thanks for the replies to my posting.
I do realise that with the game mechanice involved some NPC's do need to be invulnerable.
I guess the issue which prompted my post was that the character i was playing knew night masks frequented the location he was in, and being a chaotic evil psychopathic thief (who is a member of their rival guild) he frequently goes there to murder them.
If the first night mask he came across had gone to get his superior to get my ... |
