Now Ara was a bit shy and didn't want to post the screenies he did because he's a bit of a perfectionist.
The pictures to the top are a bit more polished. The ones towards the bottom are rougher and are still subject to a great amount of change.
Make no mistake, editing outdoor areas in nwn2 is a lot more work, but the results will be worth the effort.

Screen shots look stunning I can't wait to play :D Though I can only view them with IE. Firefox doesn't seem to show the screen shots. I can't help but to wonder why the one picture has three bridges leading into water, and who the big statue is of. |

Firefox doesn't seem to view them for me either. I find that it has a tendency to abstain from loading images in image-intensive pages, or maybe the site is just better supported in IE - it happens.
As for the latter - it is called WIP: Work In Progress ;) |

Yes, the shots do look amazing.
As far as Firefox and images on this website goes. It has to do with the way images are presented on this website. I think IE might be the only browser that can view them.
But it is easy enough to get the img urls from source. |

You are a true artist Ara... I can't wait to wander through the streets in Character Mode and see it all as though I was really there.
I really can't say that I have been on a whole lot of other PW's (Vives kept me occupied for the past.. how many years has it been now?) but on occasion I have ventured to other servers to have a look at what is offered... and with NWN1 there was never a PW that I came across that was as good looking as Vives.. and the few NWN2 servers I have visited, and the many screen shots I have seen from other PW's for NWN2... your work leaves em all in the dust.
Again... can't wait to stroll through the streets when it is finished. |

Throw in my compliments, too, Ara. Great work.
I've tried my hand at making modules, etc. with NWN, and I get impatient with just the limited choices there in terms of landscaping, etc. so I can only imagine how infinite the choices with NWN2 are (and also how infinitely aggravating it can be, especially if you're a perfectionist!)
Appreciate your work and any other builder's efforts for Vives2 as well. |

| Very nice. It looks very tropical in places, is there going to be law in the players handbook to explain the change of climate or do the areas look different in game? |

| There are already some tropical places in Vives 1, Frimble. Mystique comes to mind, the rainforest near the Kobai desert too. There are also quite a few palm trees at the Swiftfoot lagoon. |

The ones to the top are similar to Northern Europe..... towards the bottom it's more mediterranean (think Greece/Southern Italy).
The other screen is more Scandanavian.....
They're hundreds, if not thousands of miles apart :) |

This stuff really looks great, I love the texture and the effect of a hillside town. Also, these areas look huge to me. I know some shots are overviews of a city and I assume they are more than one area, but the perspective shots look like big, highly detailed areas. Is this a means to compensate for the limit on areas in NWN2? I guess any machine that can run NWN2 will run this stuff alright. Edit: I take it back about overviews of multiple maps. That first screen for instance. Is that one big area? That's pretty neat. What do I know? Haven't played NWN2. |

I haven't really done any texturing at all yet, nor added nany detail ;)
They're actually one large area..... but in NWN2 there is a buffer which is un-walkable around each exterior, so they look a little bigger than they actually are :) |

I was trying to remember where I had seen architecture like that. Its just right for Russia, looks great. |
