DM Event: Young and Foolish Posted: 24 Sep 2003 01:25 AM |
Event: Young and Foolish Nota Bene: I've switched up the plot to another one which better suits the players available. The original plot will have to wait another time...
Time: Friday Night (26th September 2003) 21:00 PST / 00:00 EST / 05:00 GMT
Projected Length: 2-3 hours
GameMaster: Alosynth, Aria
Intended for: 3-5 PCs (Level 5-8) of all alignments. The PCs would have to, however, be in a party, so some arrangements could be used beforehand.
Please turn on your Chat-Log before the session; it'd be nice if someone can offer to do the formatting and post them on the forums.
Help Required: 1+ DM 2 CPCs
Please let me know by tomorrow afternoon if you're ready to commit. I'll send you a synopsis of the story then. Also please drop by about 30-45 minutes prior to IRC.
Additional Notes: I'd like to do some fiddling in the toolset beforehand, so the start-time depends quite abit on when that (and DM/CPC-setups) get done. The length depends, but if it gets over 3 hours it'd likely be splitted and continued the next evening.
Please post if you'd like to participate / help-out as DM/CPC. |

I'd like to be a player, and it's actually on at a time I'll be able to make it. Cantor Matriel would be my PC if that works. |

Re: DM Event: Pieces of a Past Posted: 24 Sep 2003 03:23 AM |
I would like to join in, of course that is if it is not going to be a problem that I will not be able to get in game until an hour after it has started (because I work until midnight EST on thursday). Also Calmeir is lvl 10, if that too is going to cause complications then I don't mind withdrawing. Elsewise I am game, and would love to join in.

My offer is still the same, still have to work on friday till midnight EST, so I'd still be an hour late, but if that's cool, I would love to jump in.

lol Not like we're very inclusive for our European folks anyway - would an hour later be a better time then? (21:00 PST, Midnight EST, 05:00 GMT; circa 2 hours) |

Re: DM Event: Pieces of a Past Posted: 25 Sep 2003 08:19 AM |
I think you are pretty much going to have to tailor your DMd sessions to whichever group expresses interest, because even within the US borders there are problems with time zones and lifestyles. For instance, an 2-hour event starting at 11 PM is unlikely to be attended by someone who gets up at 6 AM. :) |
Dieties preserve us from the evil chaotics named Lag, Crash, and Server Reset. PCs: Loli Dankirk (Ftr 18/Brd 8.5 @ 1777 hrs) left Vives for Origins; Gnora Gnombody (Sor 5 @ 54 hrs) and Amanda Stark (Wiz 3 @ ~10 hrs) left Vives for Feline Providence. |

Re: DM Event: Pieces of a Past Posted: 25 Sep 2003 09:59 AM |
Probably not the right topic, and for that I apologise- but I don't think it really merits its own. Can we have some more DMs and DM events run on the "european" end of the timezone?
Or, perhaps, if any major events happen when the Europeans can't be online ((Circa 2-7GMT)), can we have "rumours" posted on the boards so we know what's going on? Havn't had the problem on Vives- but I have played on server's where non-US-Timezone people can catch very little of the plot of a major quest....yet still have to RP as if they know what's going in.
"What Lich attack on the city?"; "The Drow did WHAT?" ETC...things like that.
Not complaining, just asking :P |

I'll play... either as a DM or I can drag ole Merum out for a walk, thus fulfilling one of the CPC spots... it's good to be versatile. ;0 |

Re: DM Event: Pieces of a Past Posted: 26 Sep 2003 02:29 AM |
This is the list of the people (players-DM) that should be around that time...
Nyrul (Thaviral - lvl 8 rogue) Pugs (Cantor - ???) Calmeir (Calmeir - lvl 10) Mez (Celendil - lvl 5) Gibreel Neek Tahl Merum Alo Aria
--
I'd like to have Alosynth DM'ing with me, I'm very inclined to get him started DM'ing
--
I would be interested in having 3 CPCs - Merum, Gibreel (optional) and Calmeir. Merum and Gibreel has CPCs that I'd be interested in using, and I'd like to involve Calmeir, but his character at lvl 10 would probably take much of the fun out of the others.
--
For players, their characters would be
Celendil (5) Tharival (8) Fennel (7) Eemohone (5) Cantor (7)
--
I'll send out more info to the CPCs tomorrow. See ya 21:00 PST / Midnight EST / 05:00 GMT tomorrow!

Thanks, Tasra |

Hey all,
I forgot my daughter is playing at the homecoming game tonight... and there's no way I'm missing that! Hopefully I'll be back in time, but if I'm not, you know where I'm at. I'll try to catch up with the group if I'm late. |
