Don't worry... it's just some random thoughts on what could possibly be/should be done, like a journal-entry :)
Is it possible to have other ways to trap player's typings instead of using OnConvo of a NPC? It have never struck me particularly reliable.
It could be made more reliable by giving each PC an invisible, neutral Shadow OnEnter... how expensive would this be?

Merchant: 'Encapsulate' the convo-lines within the SpawnScript would be cool.

Maybe a library for manipulating strings would be useful.

How cool would it be to have healer's kit etc. craftable from radial menu like Craft Trap? Alo mentioned it.

Add considerations for Prestige Classes in SoU.
Add Spell XP for SoU spells. |

ATM prestige classes get 100% xp for eveything. On average, I think a good BASELINE for balance (not specifics or tweaked out, as should be done) dealing with prestige classes is to see how they fit in with other classes/class combinations, on the level of roles they fill. Below is a slight, close comparison to begin tweaking the exp in my opinion.
Assassin --- Rogue
Blackguard --- Paladin
Harper Scout --- Bard
Shadowdancer --- Ranger/Rogue or Fighter/Rogue
Just a thought is all on where to begin, then little tweakings to 5% +/- can be looked at accordingly to each class, to compensate for abilities (Such as harper scouts making two kinds of potions, one a DAY, for only 60 gold and 5 XP, and Shadowdancers EXTREME lethalness in Vives to both monstes and PC's)

I don't know if this is the type of thing you are looking for but a Single Playe Module called "Ultima IV" (or thereabouts) uses player typed keywords to initiate convos. For Instance you stand your character by an NPC and then type in "hello" or "occupation" and they respond appropriately. If this is what you're looking for you could try snooping in their code :P. |
I do what the voices in my head tell me too. |

That is a version of trappin'- using OnConvo (since you need to be beside the NPC).
What I'd like to see is if there's a way that eliminates the need of NPCs completely (i.e., it'd be nicer to have our voice emotes / racial languages function independently of having to have a NPC around).

| Started on Parchment idea, allowing characters to write books in-game and where content stays put persistently. Could be very cool for the library & the Mailbox of people's house. Can't wait to have love-letters in Arizzle's mailbox! Not death-threats hopefully. Since it's DB-based -> could work with Q to make editable / viewable via webpages. The only large limitations right now is the Parchments differ only by Tags and not name - so they all are called 'Parchments'. |

Oh! How bout mail bombs, and letters that cast "Tasha's Irrestistable Laughter" on the one who reads it...a nice little surprise for letters and packages, and to see who in fact did it...wouldn't be too hard to script, and perhaps even a spot check could identify it as "odd" (spellcraft check as well)
all for fun roleplay of course >:D

Yeah right. And then there's CharmPerson, or the more... assertive version of DominatePerson, and StinkingCloud with Kila's every letter :P
Well, I don't see how to associate an effect with a custom parchment. I'll jot down more stuffs about the implementations later on if I have time/effort, and maybe we can see how to get a handle for them.

The problem w/ merchants seems to be that the data is missing from the merchants... so this narrows it down to problems with Get/Setting the data-structure or in Initializing it. Be PITB to rewrite tho.

Use:
EffectMovementSpeedDecrease EffectMovementSpeedIncrease
When players are wearing medium or heavy armor. It'd be an interesting twist -- no more people in full plate 'jogging' along to the next dungeon
