I Am Leaving Posted: 30 Jun 2003 12:37 AM |
Hullos, @ All
Well I'm leaving so I'd like to say thanks to all of you for accepting/putting up with me for the last month and a bit. I have enjoyed my time here, and think that the mod will only flourish and grow with so many dedicated ppl working on it. I can only hope that when you work you also take time to DM cause that's what made this mod the best. I remember when I first went to LoL and had no clue how to RP. Then I came to Vives and started out the same heh. But I soon learned that there was more to this game than a really powerful character and that you can have a really powerful character and have an awesome story to go with him/her. I know I am not a good Rper but I have tried really hard not to be a bad one lol.
I hope you all the best of luck and can only hope that we all feel the way we do now for a long time. I believe that this is the state of mind we should all have for the rest of our gaming experience in Vivese. I believe we are on the right track to making Vives a great place to go have some good unfrustrating fun with the sole purpose of having a good time which I support a great deal. Try not to harp on the small things while making sure that you keep what you have going and don't let a fool talk his way out of doing something wrong. If he/she can talk you into believing that he/she Rped it, Ban em for bad RP. I can say that now that I'm leaving lol. Man look how fast I turn on myself and start bitching about RP. I can blame Miss Aria for that hehe.
I just want to keep Vives the way it is lol. I like it too much to see PPL getting mad at each other and leaving for bad reasons and in a bad mood. Unless it's Gwindor trying to make the trees whisper "Aros" or something, then he can go be mad lol. Make sure everybody gets their own say even if they're wrong cause if you never hear anybody's ideas they cannot be told they are wrong or found to be cool. Open communication I believe is key to bettering anything. Keep an Open-mind and always be sharp. BTW that was a shot at Gwin lol. And there better be a snappy remark at the bottom of this! I have enjoyed playing with all of you and hope you all live wonderful and long lives, oh ya IRL lol. Well cya around maybe
With a passion, Angelo Sabbadin. (Sion Lionheart, Erig Lend, etc.)
Ps: that's my RL name, if you didn't figure it out. |

[i:40def922cd][color=olive:40def922cd]I thought I knew, but just realized I don't know what to say. I guess I'll tell my part of the story then. A night several months ago, there appeared a pair of intruders from middle of nowhere, Angerius and Kioshi, who started going 'ooc who want a short [ed: bow] +1' amongst other things... I left the game halfway - that was how annoying those two were. The night turned into a very long reflection. Am I (are we) going to be spending our time and efforts on [b:40def922cd]these[/b:40def922cd] folks? Is this worth it at all? What does this mean at the end of the day?
Maybe you were impressed by us and stayed, I would never know. But one thing for certain is that I've been impressed, deeply impressed. I'll cut the long story short before things get too silly and sentimental... I have never expected to see that kind of change, and it's... gratifying. Time and time again when I ponder whether I should go on, I looked back at you and said, 'this really means something'. And yes, I meant -you-, not your RP.
Thank you, thank you for trying. All good things come to an end, and I guess this is no exception. Well, what I wanted to say, you know, and I've said many times already, so I'll leave it out. May this memory be mutually cherished. Take very good care of yourself.

Sion,
What to say, what to say. It's been an interesting month or so, that much I know to be true. Not too long ago I almost left Vives behind over a discussion that got very heated, and in which I got assaulted a bit. I took offense, and almost made a mistake in walking away for good. I'm happy that I didn't, and my relationship with that insensitive asshole got better after I returned, and we've come to RP together a lot of late, and even share witty OOC remarks via tells on occasion. It's been fun now that I think we're on the same team, not butting heads over trivial issues. "With a passion" doesn't even come close to it man... you're like a mechanical bull that's stuck 'on'.. you just don't let up. *laughs*... and now that I've realized I can't beat you, I joined you in debates, or taken the other road and stayed out of them completely.
I don't know where you're off to specifically, as you don't really know yourself... just make sure you keep that splinter of eye-poking tied tight on your back, and have it ready when ya need it.... cause I've heard the Dire Lizards in Mexico are a real bitch!! *chuckles*
I thought I'd be able to throw some jabs at you in this post... but I can't. Have a blast on your trip... but most importantly, when in doubt, do what Fin would do.... run away. *grins*
I hope we'll be able to sit around and laugh about your trip sometime in the future. Take care bud.
Sincerely,
Brian Beil |

I'm gonna miss you Sion ole Boy.
You been lots of fun to play with and you make the IRC room kinda exciting.
make sure to learn all the spanish swearwords and use them at every opportunity. Drink like a fish ... lots of tequilla.
If any mexican messes with you, stab him through the neck with your sword then run away and start a new life in Ecuador. :P
Maybe someday we'll meet up and do some partying. Until then Hasta la Vista ...baby

Sion,
Best wishes on your journey, I hope you find what your looking for. Its been great to get to know you a lil' the past month or so. It sometimes seems like longer, and sometimes so shorter. Though you could definatly be a pain in the a$ sometimes in IRC, you are definately a great roleplayer and I always had a good time playing with you.
Stay Safe, |

Too late! Posted: 30 Jun 2003 12:37 AM |
Sorry for probably replying to this waaay too late. No excuse is fitting.
Let me add to the many stories enfolded above. My recollection of Sion at first is easily summarized in: WTF! He killed a Dragon!
Did he? Yep he did! If you ever wondered if someone was able to make the dragon armor, yep he did. What does this tell us in a positive sense :D ? That Sion can be one persistent, headstrong fellow.
And see into what that resulted... You were one of the first I saw actively engaging other players, working on IC relationships, you earned my respect for that. You helped us in believing indeed it was possible for what vives was meant, namely to provide the necessary details to allow people to grow in a role and develop it through gameplay.
Hey! We might even erect a statue for you in one way or the other  .
Others have said it and I will repeat it: The best of luck to you, Sion, take good care of yourself. And once you return, we will be waiting, no doubt with a finished, flourishing, fantastic Rp mod. Thank you for all your contributions to this project, each and every one of them are greatly appreciated.
