Ladies of Neverwinter Posted: 09 Nov 2003 07:21 AM |
Hi folks
I thought I'd just post a quick link to a website called Ladies of Neverwinter..... many of our players came from there, and it is a mature, fun place to check out.
Males are "tolerated" I believe Hey I pop in now and again and I'm a man (well maybe not on a Friday night but we won't go into that :P)....... anyway it's a fun and cool collection of folks with similar interests, and a bit mad to boot ;)
Anyway, feel free to check it out :D

Aye, I'm also a member of that community and it is filled with warm and friendly people who all share similar interests. It's actually thanks to Aria who advertised on LoN that I came here to annoy you all. :D
Feel free to join and add to the general madness that rules there. :) |

Dieties preserve us from the evil chaotics named Lag, Crash, and Server Reset. PCs: Loli Dankirk (Ftr 18/Brd 8.5 @ 1777 hrs) left Vives for Origins; Gnora Gnombody (Sor 5 @ 54 hrs) and Amanda Stark (Wiz 3 @ ~10 hrs) left Vives for Feline Providence. |

(To the tune of Rule Britannia)
When Vives first, at heaven's command, Arose from out Arathon's mind, Arose, arose, arose from out Arathon's mind, This was the charter, the charter of the land, And beta testers sung this strain:
Rule Vives! Vives rule Neverwinter. Vivavians never, never, never shall abandon.
The servers, not so blest as thee, Must in their turn, to tyrants fall, Must in their turn, must in their turn, to tyrants fall, While thou shalt flourish, shalt flourish great and free, The dread and envy of them all.
(Chorus) Rule Vives! Vives rule Neverwinter. Vivavians never, never, never shall abandon.
Still more majestic shalt thou rise, More dreadful, from each foreign player, More dreadful, more dreadful from each foreign player As the loud blast that tears the skies, Serves but to root thy native oak.
(Chorus) Rule Vives! Vives rule Neverwinter. Vivavians never, never, never shall abandon..
Thee haughty DMs ne'er shall tame; All their attempts to bend thee down, All their attempts, all their attempts to bend thee down, Will but arouse thy generous flame, But work their woe and thy renown.
(Chorus) Rule Vives! Vives rule Neverwinter. Vivavians never, never, never shall abandon.
To thee belongs the rural reign, Thy cities shall with players fill Thy cities shall, thy cities shall with players fill All thine shall be the subject main, And every shore it circles thine.
(Chorus) Rule Vives! Vives rule Neverwinter. Vivavians never, never, never shall abandon.
The Muses, still with freedom found, Shall to thy happy players speak, Shall to thy happy players, thy happy players speak, Blest isle! with matchless beauty crowned, And manly hearts to guard the fair.
Sorry to all you Brits and how I butchered your oh so beautful song. But then again, you -are- on the wrong side of the Atlantic. :P |

Re: Ladies of Neverwinter Posted: 09 Nov 2003 08:36 AM |
I think folks would be quite surprised at the amount of female players we actually have in comparison to othe worlds and the community in general. It's not immediately obvious in game however, as a number choose to play solely male characters..... and quite a few males play females :)
I think of ourselves as advancing Sexual politics and enhancing one's understanding of the other Sex in order to create and promote a peaceful harmony amidst the World.... honest :P
I'm off to get in touch with my feminine side now and buy some crap CD's to throw randomly about the living room and immediately put them in all the wrong cases or even use them as beer coasters!
Cheers

Are you insinuating that women put their CDs in the wrong case? Hmfff. You have not seen my CD collection. 600 CDs alphabeticised by artist, within their genres.
Well, maybe it comes from working in a record store for 10 years... |

Praise be to the Man and Woman that sired such a fine lass as Lisen! Now that's a Woman! If she drinks Pints and doesn't move about the furniture in order to hide all my lovely Hi-fi and AV equipment in some sodding corner because it "doesn't fit in with the Colour Scheme" , I might even consider sacking my marriage prevention lawyers! There is hope for us Single Gents! I see it now!
:P

| Oops. Well, I definitely do not drink pints (ick!) and I prefer to hide the television set in one of my spare bedrooms. Too bad. |

I like pints (and even own some of the 20oz mugs) but I hate television.
I'm also already married, so I guess that won't help any. *grin* |

| I do both. Some of my characters are the flip side of the same coin, in almost every way. Take for example Sophie:Hans. But still, I'm sticking with Vives. I would hate to be bouncing back and forth between two good servers. Just would lose track of things. |
