A scroll is decorated on a wall in each city. For those who traverse through Port Royale, it is located on the same plane as the door to the Broken Mask Tavern. In Icy Vale, it resides on the -inside- of the general store, located across the inn, due to the wind and snow decimating the parchment if left unattended. In Buckshire, it is located on the left-hand side of the door to Doc's Watering hole, tacked up rather nicely:
Diggers needed. Dwarves preferred, though all with digging skills welcome. Bring your own picks. All you take from the digging site is yours to keep, which will likely be amounts of tin and copper deposits, though possibly more.

He began to gather the required materials. Cutting down some hickory, oak, and ash, and testing which would be a better support beam. He remembered the conversation with Kodak, the Bregodim Defender, clearly.
"Ya dun need dwarves unless ye wanna be makin' an engineering marvel. I think ye just wanna tunnel that works, aye?"
The hunter grinned.
"Well, a tunnel that works, but one that doesn't collapse under poor craftsmanship."
"That's wha' the wood is fer. It'll be fine."
Tristian sat now, looking at the tunnel-to-be, while the roar of an angry bear was heard elsewhere. Malice had gone hunting for bats, released by Tristian so that the human simply could think without a blood-sucking animal near his presence.
Tristian glanced at a small rock, some fifteen feet away. It looked immovable, but Tristian kept all of his pickaxes he was finding there. The problem was that people could find the rock, except they would have to transform into an umber hulk to reach it.
This would continue for a few days, until the necessary components and materials were gathered. There would still be people he needed to ask for help. Dorian & Ophelia. He had a nice plethora of able-bodied people sign up initially, but he felt he needed a bit more. Maybe work in shifts, and have two prepare the beams while others were chipping away at the stone.
Slowly, the hunter closed his eyes, and rested. It was going to be hellacious, but they would endure, and prevail, opening up a new way to his residence, along with easing the burden on the purses of those who hated flying the gnomish contraption. |

The dig had ended up going splendidly. Tristian sauntered into the center of the room, gathering everyone's attention, and picking out his miners, each of them having a job that proved to be beneficial to the building of the tunnel. The only one that got injured was the gnomish fellow, Scoopers, when a stalacite loosened, and dropped on his head. Helmets were worn by the mining team soon after.
Tristian and company soon moved the cave east, digging through the walls. Bereil, armed with wit and ingenuity, morphed into an iron golem, and was vital to the placing of the support beams along the walls. The mage Shihaya'zad got an air elemental to sift away the rock dust, and became a water elemental to wash away the small rocks (and cool off some of the sweaty workers).
The excavation was a great success, and was aptly named Vrodo's Cut, for it was Vrodo Joud that discovered the possible section.

((Thanks to all who took part in this exercise in improvisation - the turnout in talent was gratifying. Haven't had the works inspected yet, but I'm hoping it will hold until the next fireball. Thanks also to the DMs who planted this possibility in the ground and provided the effects!))
