Crafty kobolds must have seen us coming! ;) Posted: 15 Mar 2005 02:16 PM |
Just wanted to give some kudos to the DM that brought in all the kobold reinforcements while we were trying (and failing) to clear their fort.
I'm not sure what all is involved in making those spawns happen, but I'm sure it can't be super quick or easy. And the DM did a great job of keeping it lively and very well-balanced. We got our arses kicked (a couple deaths and an organized retreat to the infirmary) - but I think we could have survived it and succeeded if we had been a bit better about staying together. Those commandos are /rough/ when a few of them can gang up on one PC. (ok, ok... to some of you 20th level PCs out there, maybe not so rough... but hey! they were rough for us! )
Anyway, just wanted to give a quick 'thanks' to the DM that ran that. Good stuff! |

Actually, such spawns are not very hard.
Sorry that I had to go, but late nights and school is not a very good combination. Saturday next time perhaps? We can't just give up after the first attempt, can we? |

Mmm fun fun.
Nothing better than being surronded on all sides by a group of around 6-8 commando's, without the cleave feat, and then to have a friends summoned dire wolf decide your leg looks tasty. |

| Ugh, I hit some rough traps I missed in there, then next thing I knew *Poof*, I be dead. I like how the Mummy thing went though too. Constant reinforcements, fighting our way in and out. I'm not sure how the fight out went, but I'm sure there are some inquiries as to how exactly I died :P |

That's what the staying together thing is all about.. a side a friend is on, is a side one of those nasty commando's can't be on. :) |

Now that is a very nifty little quote. I do think that people are too used to playing NWN solo and not in a group (and since I solo alot )
As for 20th Level - I got a little bit of a pasting from them at 17th and still wouldnt take them for granted. *grins*
There is strength in numbers and they have a lot of numbers.

Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.
