Forum Titles for Outstanding Yakking
Posted: 30 Jun 2003 12:37 AM
Can we get some forum titles implemented. So like after you post 25 times you get a title and a new title after 50 posts and so on.

25-raw recruit
50-grizzled veteran
75-Captain of the Guard
100-Commander of the Legion
150-General of the combined Army

Or some mumbo jumbo like that. It would be really neat too if there were a seperate system of titles for each class. So if you picked mage it would go:

alocolyte->apprentice->arcane master-> Arch Magi

What cha think?

I do what the voices in my head tell me too.

You'd need to go much further than that, trust me, you'd need to go much further than that before you get a respectable forum title.

Eh?

It would be nice to be not branded as a newbie, titles are still useful, i'd like one. Okay, so I am still a newbie and I don't qualify for many titles, but titles would still be nice.

nah i don't see the point of having some title!? what's the use? Do u get more respect or bonusses or whatever with a FORUM-LORD title or something?? I guess not.. And it allready shows how much posts one made.
I would rather just see the name and the post, that says enough about the person.

25 posts - just passing through
50 posts - suspicious..
75 posts - lifeless
100 posts - officially lifeless
150 posts = terminally lifeless
250 posts - lifeless beyond redemption AND beneath contempt.
How's that? :p

Hmm, since no one wants to be Newbie and no consensus... I've changed it to [i:bea67e7ce3]Player[/i:bea67e7ce3] for now... so no one gets offended while the rest of the debate goes on :D

I've been complaining we need forum titles here as well...really sucks to post a lot and be called newbie...I like the system Gorak set up though, good ideas!

Strangely puts us both in the same catagory though, my first PW NWN forum, I was an elder in a week and one of the top posters (approaching the DM's and Mods with 2d1000 posts) within a month.

Considering how inovative Vives has been with many of it's systems, maybe it should pioneer a system for forum titles?

New System,eh?

How about your title is based on the amount of replies you get (not including your own) on new topics you start?

Or we can draw titles out of a hat :P

How about a title that actually indicates what your role or what your contributions are to Vives?

Player,
Builder,
DM,
Moderator,
Administrator,

This would entail that Vives actually get some organisational structure instead of the flux it is currently!
