| In attempting to start a new character on Vives, I have found much the same thing. Even having gone through these formative stages, doing it again is almost impossible.
I believe the main reason for this is because characters of middling range have the focus and the needs of new characters have been forgotten.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but when finally getting into Vives your immediate choices in adventuring are rats, and kobolds. Rats, singularly are no real threat but, even for fighting ... |

| The first thing you'd want to do is integrate with society and build some sort of plausible background for your character.
You cannot do this from simply going out the gates and running through each area gathering an average of 50XP per area (which seems to be size dependant). And as was stated, you can't do this because monsters out there hack you to bits in 3 hits tops :P
I don't think encouraging weak characters to go charging around the countryside is logical at all. And I don't think ... |

| Your right about the whole bleeding timeframe giving parties a chance to heal their members.
I think she meant "natural stabilization". |

| Also, could we get a list of haks we should be using now? My directory is filled with a dozen or so files and I'm not sure if they are all pertinent. This could pose a problem if an area I build uses one of these when its not supposed to.. |

| With relation to all the text that just pops up on your screen, I hope that these "OnPerceive" triggers have a random chance of actually occuring in the first place. Ie, perhaps one in a hundred? Doesnt sound like much at all, but when you have dozens of playing running through these perception radii, the text spam just gets out of control.
This is also happening with area entry descriptions. Now, I like them, but I dont even think they are a requirement. The idea of a graphical game is so ... |

| In response to your idea Aria,
I assume that the amount of time that this whisper appears for is based on how much text is in the whisper and isn't directly accessible?
Therefore, depending on two main variables, the speed of the area loading, and the differing times people move through area transitions, people lagging behind may miss out on the message entirely, or see it for only a split second...? Worse yet it may not show it to them at all as they were not "present" for the initial ... |
