Ahh, an Elf of my own. A pleasant poet and dazzling storyteller, indeed! May all current and future bards take note of your tales and knowledge of character when weaving their own. Thank you kindly for the words and a story for the ages! Auberon

* Overhearing conversation of some sort of Royal Ball, Auberon seeks out more information, finding a copy of the Port Tribune * What's this? What's this! A Royal Ball... And in Port Royale. How very apropos! With party games and auctions and a dance! Amazing, I must say. And to top it off, hosted by her eminence the Queen Aquinas! Whom I have not had the chance to meet, nor be banished by as of yet! Hopefully this won't turn out like the Royal Ball I attended in Lancastle that ...

I agree. I like the intro. But as far as commandments go, they should be about the same as basic ethics go in real life. Play the game, interact with the world, roleplay, roleplay, roleplay, but don't do anything that affects other PLAYERS that you wouldn't want them to do to you. Whether you're an evil character or a newbie who doesn't understand, we're still all people playing a game, so don't try to abuse the system just because you can. Auberon

On the other hand... Perhaps the CHARACTER in a RP sense is deathly afraid of doors! And is on conquest to banish all of them from the lands! Entering the room to only be sure there are no unbashed doors on the other side. Funny. It's like One Flew Over The Coocoo's Nest.... On the verge of either being entirely out of character or the best roleplaying of insanity ever! Although, as you said, probably neither of those lofty goals :) Auberon

*a fine parchment is hung on the board of the PAJWT, with flowing elven script* As commissioned... *the word is scratched out* permissioned, by Pickston Rickticks to post for the enjoyment of the PAJWT group, a song! Some of you have heard it before, and most will hear it again, but here is the work in rare parchment form for your perusal! Regards, Auberon Aurora, Storyteller and Travelling Musician... *the rest of the parchment includes the song with musical symbols accompanying ...

* Auberon applauds heartily* What a wonderful, wonderful gift you have! A song of love and mystery yet. And of the truest kind - love borne not from honor or responsibility, but a love that knows no boundries, beyond heritage, beyond race and creed. Simple perfect! Auberon

Ahh yes! Macha Sparrowsong... I remember that night. And actually, the Four Winds was quite a troupe of bards that evening, with Popé, Macha, and myself... But all the more entertaining! We each have our own style. Some are strong in their convictions, singing bolsterous songs of courage! Some are soft in their approach, like a nightinggale harking a sweet melody.... Some are poetic as they revel in enchanting weaves, and some... (like me) have an odd sense of humor. It was a ...

*shocked* Why! I've only just got here. I'd like to thank the bardic academy.... And my homies in cell block 6... and... and.... *grins* Just kidding, thanks so much for the mention, Merum! It's a pleasure to be part of such a fine group. Everyone I've met has been fantastic.... Finally a server where people actually stop to chat and listen to a tale instead of saying 'I gotta get to lvl 9 tonight so I can use my phat bastie' It's great to be part of it, in any way! Auberon

On Monks... I do agree. I enjoy monks, although my characters have never walked the 'monk' path for long. A monk in Vives is actually fantastic specifically because of the low magic world.... Monks know that life isn't fair. They are frail and fragile in the beginning. It's only after spending drastic amounts of time to learn their craft that they grow in power. So a higher level monk takes a LOT more work to get there. But next to a higher level anything else (yes, even bard ...
