| 1. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Lord_Sandwich on 11/28/2005 3:17:32 AM A shoutout to all the great RPers here that I have been fortunate to meet so far. I'm not going to name names, because everyone has done a good job; I wouldn't want to unintentionally leave anyone out. Thanks to the Vives community in general. |

This is a decent pack with 188 custom portraits. It includes Illumina's portrait as well. I recommend it. |
| 3. | Re: Vives Personals Posted by Lord_Sandwich on 11/15/2005 2:50:30 AM ILLUMINA
Illumina woke up near the coastline. She knows next to nothing about herself. She often walks around with her hands and face hidden, as she is afraid that people will not accept her for what she looks like. She is quite pretty, but her skin is a pale blue. She looks like someone about to die from cold exposure, and no amount of heat or medicine will make her look or feel any different. When people get close to her, they start to feel very cold as well. Despite her odd ... |
| 4. | A great and unexpected "event." Posted by Lord_Sandwich on 11/29/2005 5:24:49 AM Thanks to True Darkness for this "event." It was completely unexpected, and I had a great time, as did the other players who I talked to. Considering that I'm the guy who usually misses events, it was awesome to be a part of 2 in the same day. My all time record heheh.
I just wanted to say thanks for immersing a new player into the world and making them feel involved and welcome. I look forward to what happens next, as well as unrelated quests in the future. |

HAHAHAHAHAH |
| 6. | Re: A great and unexpected "event." Posted by Lord_Sandwich on 11/29/2005 11:57:16 PM The best thing about it was that at the beginning, I thought we were in for a cakewalk. When we entered, there was nothing. We trampled the first few waves with ease, and then BAM! A shotgun blast of death. |
| 7. | Re: What Makes You Happy? Posted by Lord_Sandwich on 12/1/2005 5:14:00 AM Sandwiches. Big sandwiches. |
| 8. | Re: Another "new player, first impressions" thread Posted by Lord_Sandwich on 11/28/2005 8:07:21 PM I think most people do not have rental rooms because there aren't too many available. All the cheaper ones seem to be taken, and a new character can't afford to pay for the higher priced ones. |
| 9. | Re: Anti-Flame Posted by Lord_Sandwich on 12/1/2005 4:12:45 PM Hey, at least you are still allowed to go to Midor ;) |
| 10. | Re: DM Event: Treasure Map For Sale!! Posted by Lord_Sandwich on 11/29/2005 5:16:25 AM I had a lot of fun, thankee! Not sure if I have surpassed my record for awful RP, but heck it was even funnier to me trying to RP someone with min stats, not to mention an INT of 5...in fact, I think my own RL INT dropped in sympathy last night *grins*
Good puzzles too - just goes to show you can have a lot of fun without hoards being set upon you from all sides :)
*skips off singing and calling for the 'woof woof' *
I thought it ... |

| 12. | Re: Stat RP Response Posted by Lord_Sandwich on 11/28/2005 3:12:44 AM I can't believe that so many people got upset about this. I am aware that I am posting late on this, but I figured I'd give my opinion anyways.
Stats are much like alignment. They are meant to be viewed as general descriptions, but are too often viewed as straitjackets. Stats and alignment are broadly based, with no clear definitions. They are used for general description, pure and simple.
For example, a character with a strength of 8 is for all intents and purposes, ... |

| 14. | Illumina: Frozen Wasteland Posted by Lord_Sandwich on 11/20/2005 8:22:10 PM Illumina slowly opened her eyes. To her wonder and dismay, all she could see were fuzzy shapes and colors. It was painful, like small razors piercing her brain, yet she could not look away. Moving for the sake of moving, and not being still, she tried to stand, but was so disoriented that she fell to the ground. Her face cushioned her fall; it did not hurt. She remained there for some time, staring blankly at her surroundings that she did not see. Focus, she thought, focus. After time, her ... |
