| 1. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Isyrion on 12/21/2004 6:48:21 PM Kudos to everyone with whom I have had the priviledge of RPing already, since my arrival here. You know who you are. ;-)
It's been great! |
| 2. | Re: Custom Portraits Posted by Isyrion on 1/7/2005 3:04:03 PM Aranel pointed out that she couldn't see the portrait of my new character, Malahan, despite me thinking I pulled it from the "Official Vives portrait pack". Since I have not the faintest clue where it can be found on NWVault or anywhere else for that matter, I decided to filter out the portrait from my NWN folder and host it for download, in case others see a blank one in-game as well.
Here you go. |
| 3. | Face (via photo) Recognition Posted by Isyrion on 12/23/2005 7:36:44 PM Found a fun website: myheritage.com
You can upload a picture of yourself, and then the website will pick out your face from the photograph and tell you which famous person you resemble most.
In my case, my highest match was a 71% with Charlize Theron -- which is hella cool. :-)
Try it! I've tried it with several people I know in RL, and I've found the ... |

Someone tell us how he asked!
Yeah, post a writeup of the RP that happened!

| 6. | Re: Playing Nice Posted by Isyrion on 12/23/2005 1:07:48 PM The sad thing was, this second encounter interrupted a very extended and intense piece of roleplay, and ended up completely destroying it.
My two cents on this:
If there was no ooc harm done, I'd say the extensive piece of roleplay was not interrupted, but rather took an unforeseen turn. It might not have been what you as a player were trying to accomplish story-wise, but that's the thing with interacting with people: you never know for ... |
| 7. | Hey Posted by Isyrion on 12/20/2005 6:48:57 PM Not sure if anyone but Barnas still remembers me, but I used to play here for a brief while some time ago. Thought I'd peek in and say hi -- and I'll probably be rolling up a character, too.
Cheers, Isyrion |
| 8. | Re: New Banner Posted by Isyrion on 1/25/2005 10:58:30 AM Aye, I like it. Well done, Orange. :-) |

| 11. | Whizzkid [Link to Article] Posted by Isyrion on 1/12/2005 4:16:22 PM Check this out.
Quite a smart kid, I'd say. Not sure how long this link will work, I think a few more days as of posting this. |
| 12. | Re: Sol's Storyteller of the month - December Posted by Isyrion on 12/16/2004 12:09:00 PM As a red sun goes down, twilight stars with a frown open up their eyes. “Why,” one of them cries, “can’t I have Saturn’s crown?”
Yeah I know, it’s not Vives related. I used this as warmup though, and thought I’d just share it.
Some more;
The kobold drew its tiny mace, yelling, of fear no trace: “You, trembling before me, I shall destroy with glee! You will be put in place!”
“My, my, little sir,

| 13. | ~Eleven~ Posted by Isyrion on 1/9/2005 3:14:05 PM History of the Eleven
A thousand and twenty years ago, or so the legends tell us, two brothers came into existence. Feeling blessed by the birth of twins, for that is what the two boys were, their parents named them Mavrik and Aordo; ancient nomadic names, with to each their own respective meaning. Aordo stood for friendliness, compassion and bravery, and in the newborn's eyes all of those aspects could be read as if they were a saga that knew not its equal. Mavrik's eyes told ... |
| 14. | Cursed Posted by Isyrion on 1/9/2005 3:15:41 PM It was at his thirteenth birthday, that Malahan had been abducted from his home and family in Port Royale, by a group of slavers. Ruthless mercenaries, willing to perform many an evil deed, purely and solely for their own, one cause: fulfilling their infinite greed.
Malahan was sold to a rich, unscrupulous merchant to serve but one purpose: to serve without question. Here, being constantly belittled and mocked for the slave he was, the then young boy picked up both his accent and his ... |
| 15. | Shadowy Whispers Posted by Isyrion on 1/9/2005 3:16:44 PM Times have changed. I can feel it in the air, as the wind howls through trees and as the red sunset makes way for liquid moonlight. Like a cold winter, its many snowflakes slowly but surely covering the lands and icicles forming their icy cold grip on every thing alive, malice will spread. Coldly, without a conscience. Patiently, like the end of the year that approaches.
It is said that the ancient underground hall in which the ones known only as 'the eleven' once held their ... |
| 16. | Re: Trick to increase the size of your Hotmail account... Posted by Isyrion on 1/5/2005 3:36:43 PM Or, you could drop me a PM if you want an invitation for Gmail. I've still got six of them left.
Gmail is a similar webmail client, that offers 1 GB of space (that is 1000 MB). |

| 19. | Re: Happy Holidays yall Posted by Isyrion on 12/22/2004 5:41:56 AM Happy holidays everyone!
I myself will be semi-gone as of this thursday. Going to celebrate things at my parents' place, and since they only just moved there, I don't know whether there's an internet connection yet.
Feast well, and celebrate even better! :) |
| 20. | Notes Of A Darker Nature Posted by Isyrion on 12/20/2004 1:36:13 PM The past few days, several notes have anonymously found their way to various message boards in shady inns across the land. All of them carried the same message;
You are the sharp edge of a knife, cutting through that, which stands in your way without doubt or remorse. You are the side of the moon that is not visible to people’s eyes… but always there. You are one seeking power and fortune, you are one seeking blessings from a god whose name shan’t be spoken in the light.

| 22. | Re: n00b incoming! Posted by Isyrion on 12/17/2004 12:32:28 PM Welcome to Vives!
You can use the 'players information' widget in your inventory to find others, by the way. |
| 23. | Arthak Renoble Posted by Isyrion on 12/10/2004 1:33:08 PM // I'll be using this thread to post snippets from Arthak's past as I write them up... some short, and some longer. They will probably not be in chronological order, but they'll be separate enough from each other to understand what's going on. Also, feel free to give comments and/or critique if you wish. Hope you enjoy, I'm just starting out with my writing. |
| 24. | How Renoble Got His Scar Posted by Isyrion on 12/10/2004 1:34:50 PM Knock knock.
He always knocked. The sight of her eyes greeting his with their familiar warm gaze as she opened the door for him, always left him feel more than glad to have come home again.
Today, she didn’t open. Gazing to his right, Arthak noticed the reflections of a fire burning in the hearth on the wall. She was home. Someone was. Was there something wrong?
His fingers, stiffened by the cold wind, reached into his pocket to get the key. Fiddling to ... |
| 25. | Nightly Musings Posted by Isyrion on 12/10/2004 7:39:08 PM What was he? Did his thoughts mean anything, as young as he was? Fifteen years of age, and already wondering what the future would bring him.
Arthak lay on his back, in the grass, looking up to the stars. It was a hot summer evening, with insects chirping all sorts of nocturnal ballads. His parents had taken him to the countryside, to visit some friends. Voices could be heard, coming from inside. People laughing, drinking.
The young lad, however, could only think of more ... |
