Merry Meet, M'Lords and Ladies! I happened to stumble across a mention over at Ladies of Neverwinter, and just had to find out if Vives was as great as it sounded. This will be my first time playing multiplayer online with Neverwinter Nights, and I shall probably need quite a bit of help, and I will try to read everything I can get my hands on on the site.
I am a Lady IRL (ok, I'm female, sometimes the Lady part is questionable ;-)) and I've been playing RPGs of all stripes since ... |

I will definately take you up on that! I'm about to try to get into my first multiplayer game, so if I'm unsuccessful, I'll be back asking what I did wrong! :-)

Veshtan, I ended up playing with another first leveler and lots of much higher level characters, too. Somehow we were wisked away to places unknown by an interested DM, and the story grows from there. It was pretty cool, except that I died many times. I did, however, get to do a little bit of roleplaying (the DM tapped me on the shoulder and said "You see this...") so that was really cool.
Unfortunately, server reset came along, so I don't know how or if the adventure ... |

Arathon, I had a good time, I'm just sorry I didn't get to see how it ended. Was it all illusion? Did the rest come back and solve anything else?

Well, I'll look forward to meeting her IG. Unfortunately, as far as actually adventuring together, the levels are far to disparate. Unless you enjoy squiring newbs sometimes. :-) |

At the very least, I do hope the other benefits of HotU are used. It would be nice to have other heads, if they include those, and underdark tilesets... |

I just thought of a question. I was reading that the highest level character here is only 16 after 500+ hours of play, and single digit deaths.
Is Vives going to implement the Epic Levels rules and monsters (and xp) that will be coming out with HotU?
I've never played with epic rules or an epic level character, and I think it would be great fun to try it out here. However, if no one ever gets to level 20, that would be impossible.

Yes, it's a custom Portrait, I'll have to find the source unfortunately. I might be able to zip it and email it somewhere, as well. Will have to hunt for it.

Perfect! Thanks, Alosynth! Now, hopefully everyone will download the portrait, and can see me in game. I hadn't realized I was showing up as a blank (I had thought this was one of the ones from Vives' portrait pack.)

However, it seems determined to cut off my quote. Oh well. Yes, Heinlein is still one of my favorite authers, as well. I like both his older stuff, and the newer stuff as well. I especially love the Howard Families books (Starring Lazarus Long.)
