Seeds of Darkness ***Event***

Since Rangers Some 10 Years Ago raised first suspicions about the Obsidian Order, it has been widely rumored that the Cult were devotees of He Who Slumbers yet, bent on ensuring his escape from his eternal bonds and his return to Vives. In the intervening years, evidence from several sources across the Lands has suggested that this is indeed true. It has been said that the Order keeps the temples to the Great Destroyer secret from the general populace - so terrible and terrifying are the atrocities carried out there, though what depravities makes even the Order wish to conceal them has given many a Mage cause to tremble. Captured members of the Obsidian Order have denied the existence of hidden temples - but it is thought that they are concealing the terrible truth. Some reports by spies seem to add weight to these speculations. They tell of secret rituals being performed Near Nebwood and areas of Cold Magical Darkness that Lasts for Days. They mention offerings made to the Dark One. Coupled with other reports of Small numbers of Villagers disappearing into the Darkness of The New Moon.
Father Marick Fetter has called a meeting in the holy chapel of Midoran to discuss the recent events around Midor and a means to look into the root cause of these Events. If you have any information you can add or may be interested in helping Father would like you to attend.
The Game: SEEDS OF DARKNESS
Main Plot: Every Wed from 7 to 11 EST
Clue and Minor Point Sessions (little things when I am on) 4 to 6 hours a week when I am online.
4 to 6 Main Players Level 10 and Under
The reason behind this is to keep the Party somewhat even and not to Overwhelm you. If this were PNP and not a PC game in which I have Limited Control over I could raise the bar to 8. There is another Reason IG that Father Fetter will explain in the meeting.
4 Supporting Players who maybe can't make it to every Game but still want to play some role In the Adventure.
A few things you might want to Know.
1. If you are worried about item loss and xp gains than this may not be the type of adventure you are looking for. This is about RP and telling a Story in which you are part of and Even I don't know the Outcome. This Story is for those Like me Who have read Dragons Of Autumn Twilight or Similar type books and wanted their creations to be part of something like that. This is my Attempt to bring a PNP adventure to NWN for those who have played AD&D before and those new to NWN that never had a chance. (((Before I get a post about this XP will be given out but if your more worried about how much and when then this isn't for you. If your that Worried about XP and your Favorite Magical Elven Dancing Boots of Uberness this isn't for you give someone else a chance to play and step aside.
2. ***Death***. There is a very real chance you could die and if you die during a game DO NOT RESPAWN lay there till something happens or your friends help you. There are a few spots where you could get Permanently Killed if you value your items and Character too Much I would suggest not taking the risk and Craft something instead. (((Before I get a post about this yes I am thinking stuff like lag and other NWN issues can be an issue. I won't let these things kill you.)))
3. ***PLOT GAMES*** There can come a chance that a plot game could end with you in a specific place during the end of an adventure. I would like it if this happens that you refrain from using that Character until the next plot game. Looking at my notes there are 2 times this may happen. Those 2 times are on purpose and if you are part of the game you will know what I mean. Think of it like a cliffhanger I have found ending at these points in PNP were good for the overall game. This won't happen to often just in case your worried but be prepared for it. You may also want to keep in mind what you are doing outside the Plot games and try not to go over 10th level. Again this is for the Balance.
Post your intent to play here with which PC you would like to use.
As for Selection of the Team we can do one of two things.

Or
Selection IG during the meeting. Think of it like selecting the Fellowship for the Dark task ahead.
I would prefer this way of doing it but if the many outweigh the few we will do it here.

I'd love to play in this story, especially considering the possibility of permanent death (drools)
however, my primary char is of too high level, and I don't have time to roll one up to a proper level before wednesday, so I'll offer my services to you as DM, or as supporting player, either with Merum or with a CPC.

I wouldn't worry about not being 10th level right from the start.
10th and under is fine. This will be an on-going event so you should have time to level in-between games just watch it when you get close. |

She's too high level for the actual thing, and I wouldn't be able to stay for the whole thing, but if I'm allowed, I'd like to appear for some of it.

Yeah, I've seen problems with this, as there is ANOTHER sword of power quest going on at the moment.
To clarify - The Plot of Malagard is the one that is run by Boffo and I.
This is the plot that involves Dancer. This is the sword that Vandle has, and so far the characters that have become affected by this are Shaz'jen, Quillian and Loli. This is the plot that involves poor Vandle's whispering This is the continuation of Vandle's sword issue, and this is the meeting that will be called this Wednesday.
This plot has NOTHING to do with the plot involving the Count Valinor, the various desecrations of holy sites with demons and undead. This is not the plot with Pickston. Nor has it anything else to do with other swords. |

For the moment I can only be available in weekends and to a limited degree on fridays.
I am on a Western European schedule, sadly most of my chars are above 10. And since I can not make the plot times, I am still interested in helping as DM or with a CPC :).
If it serves as a support I could play Anandur, as Knight-Captain to Midoran, he would have ties with Marick and overall he is very interested in legend and lore. Ingame therefore he is considered a knowledgeable person, which is reflected in his Lore skill too.

Personally I don't blame people who have inested soooo much time in their characters, and their is a risk of perma-death. It's not "poor role-play" at all in my book. Indeed I might feel the same way with a main character of mine. So don't worry about it :D

Loli will play non-partied non-credited supporting role if needed, she sure isn't going to give up on her friend Ke ... er, Shaz. It's unlikely I could play another character well right now, I have so much trouble switching personas between Loli and Gnora that Gnora spends almost all of her time sleeping happily by the fire in the Paws Inn. The rest she spends drinking and visiting with Margrave. *leer*
