Hello to all,

Some know that the lower states have been hit by hurricane Ike. Unfortanitly, this has affected me and my family. I live in Dallas, but my mummy and step dad live in Houston. For the last days, I have had stressful nights, trying to help my family calm down, for their house is right in Ikes path, and thus, been absent from playing.

The last few days have been crazy. My faimly had to evacuate Houston and head north to Dallas. It's all unsettleing for we don't know when they can go home, or if there is a home to go to once this is all over. I sit now in my mum and dad's hotel, with two medium sized dogs and two cats. We are doing well, but this has post pone some of the updates I need to make with recent events. I am sorry and still working on the ideas. Nothing has venterured into my head yet.

This week has been all kinds of nutty and work does not help either. Thankfuly that's where i slack and my ideas come to me. I hope to be in game soon, and with a free thinking mind. Sorry for any delays, if there are any.

If any of you need me for anything, feel free to PM me for any thing at all.

Thank you for your time

Hey Skitsy, post here when you are settled again. Or when you can.

I spent the weekend at a wedding in New Orleans, where the wind on Thursday night/Friday morning was the worst of it. Evacuees from Texas were arriving throughout the weekend asking for the "Nagin Deal" at area hotels (or so I heard). I don't know that the hotels are playing along.

On the possibility of evacuation - on a highway system built to empty out the cities in the case of a nuclear attack - well, I don't know why I'd expect any different. Folks who evacuated New Orleans during Gustav said they spent most of their evacuation sitting on the evacuation routes in their cars. I'm reminded of what Max Brooks wrote in World War Z.

Hope you fared better!

"I'm talking about dying."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"It means lying in the ground with dirt on your face and holding your breath forever."

Well it's been almost a week. I spent that time with my mum and step father. We were all crowded togeather, with our two black doggies and the two cats. They watched the news and everytime they showed something in the Clear Lake distric of huston, we all gasped, because it was either tworn apart or flooded. Where ever they where, they where only a mile away from our house.

The funny thing. )really not so funny((
Our House was in the path of the eye of the hurricane. Right in it's path. We got uber mega lucky. Our banana tree decided to take cover in our pool. the fence tripped during fleeing and was tilted at a 45 dagree angle. And some shingles where hanging on for dear shingle life, but did not make it. Other than that, there was no flooding.

We blinked, prayed to the heavens above, then were trapped in the hotel for a few more days. Well there was running water, but there was no electrictey. If we went back we would have been a week with out food and electrictey, but we would have water, that would need to be boild. Anyone see the flaw in this? It's kind of like that song "There's a whole in my bucket." Any ways, our house got a few scratches, but now smells like Talion use too, because of the fridge and the spoiled food. Yum. . .

Thank you Renter *nod nod* I forgot i made this post, and have been back in game.
