Mista Count Valinor, and the people of Midor
Posted: 29 Oct 2003 11:02 AM
Dear mista Count Valinor, I dunt appreciate how ya was hurtin me friends the uva day in in the Midor temple. Also, aw spect them ogres in the Mineath caves didnt wanda in there on their own eitha ya pale baastad!
Ya wants the sword sa bad, well guess wut. Awm holdin onta it, lessin of course ya kill me... so aw should say awm plannin ta keep it in maw possession fa now.
Ya see, aw think that this sword was meant fer a Hero. Sumfin yer definitely not based on how the ya acted towards me and the people of Midor the otha day. Oh yea, aw should tell all the people bout wut happened when ya chased me inta Midor after aw snuck past yer Ogre stooges.

People of Midor:Aw had been approached by a cloaked figure in Icy Vale who somehow knew aw had a certain item on me person. He made me some pretty lucrative offas fer this item, but aw refused based on personal concerns about the weapon in question follin inta the wrong haands. Well, he buggered off and went back to his masta as he called him. Well then this Masta a his showed up in person outside of Icy Vale, aw knew it was the force behind the cloaked figga as soon as aw laid eyes on em, and aw ran like a schoolgurl from a poostick aw admit towards Midor. In the Mineath caves there were Ogres all ova but aw snuck paast em, somehow this person that was afta me made it through the caves ahead of me ta my surprise and chased me inta Midor, swingin at me awl the while. On Approach to Midor the Guards out in front of the city attacked him straight off, aw think they knew it was hopeless ta be honest but they went anyway, he made short wurk of em aw must say. Neva seen such powa displayed before really. Well, I kept a goin straight inta the temple of Midoran and he follad me in, Fatha Fetter reacted immediately goin on about "Evil has come". Fatha Fetta and the utha Priests went afta this bloke then in the temple and... poor Fatha Fetta fought very Bravely and hurt the baastad a bit,but fell within a few seconds wounded sa bad awm amazed he lived afta that. The otha Priests werent sa fortunate, mighta noticed a few new faces in thea as late. Well, then this bloke strikes me down, and I see stars then suddenly awm awake again. Awm standin up in front of him, and he starts demanding that I give him the weapon. Loli and Gene shows up bout this time and Loli staated tryin ta take down this bloke. Gene was a healin her as best he could but the pale baastad took em both down too afta a good scrap. Then he goes back to demanding I give him the weapon again. Jessup showed up and I just told him ta run but the lunkead tried ta heal Gene and Loli instead and got himself nearly kilt. So, afta me friends is awl splayed out round me and awm barely alive,I start askin this pale hostile actin chap questions and he just tells me ta "BE SILENT!". So, I ask this bloke who he is and he responds afta some time with "I am...Valinor". I dunt rememba much afta thaat.
If anyone has any dirt on this Count Valinor please feel free ta leave a message fa me with winky at the Brandibuck tavern ta that effect.

Thanks alot,

Pickston Rickticks

To the people of Midor and those outside our fair city who were involved, in response,

No doubt all of you were aware of the unfortunate happenings which threatened our city in form of a mysterious stranger. Despite the many rumors, we ask you for patience, vigilance and calm. Panic will be our greatest adversary.

Despite the forceful breach into the sacred temple of our Protector and Guardian, Midoran, this 'evil' of which is rumored, has not undone the might and wisdom kept within Midoran's Order. Those assailed did not perish, those injured have healed. And as they recuperate, so must our faith and trust in the power of Midoran. He has not abandoned, nor shall he should this stranger return.

I have commaned forth the Knight to gather information concerning this unfortunate event. I implore each and every one of you, should you learn more, come and find me. For Midoran will not let this vile blemisphy pass unchallenged; those who seek to spill the blood of others with malice in his sacred temple... shall be measured through his fiercest justice, his wrath. Thus you may receive my undived support in Midoran's name to bring down the evil that has plagued our City. Albeit ye must consider this a warning also, to not dismiss this being lightly. He has proven his power, as he has proven his disrespect by assailing a holy place, a haven for those who seek aid. Do not seek him willingly.

I beseech you once more, aid us in this plight,

So I write to you,

Anandur Barradon, Knight-Captain of the Midoran Order
Wielder of Midoran's unwavering flame of Justice

Why can't I PM myself?

Don't iron out the Irony.

My soul is in the keeping of Bregodim. None lesser shall ever have it.

While I was prone on the floor of this fine Midorian construct, where burping is a sacrilege yet oxen droppings are not, I called upon Midor to clean his temple of the evil that was present. No answer was forthcoming.

I am dismayed by what was brought upon us by the greed of one of my association. Yet, I cannot fault his refusal to return the sword in question to the care of the Midorians.

*to Anandur*
I know very little of this Count, only that from what I have heard he is the vampire lord of Maldovia. This comes to me from the mouth of the one who is hunted, Alenuska. She travelled there once with another, known as Calandra. They returned speaking of him, and how he was willing to gift them with rooms in his very castle. I am still wondering why it is he left them to walk about in the day, and did not suck them dry like i'm sure he would you or I... Anyway, that is all that I know, perhaps if Alenuska were to be captured she could tell more about this Valinor, though I'm sure she would only speak pleasently of him...*shakes his head* If that is all then, I would take my leave. *bows to Anandur and walks out*

Crimson strands of blood erupt from a crushed chalice as it strkes the marble floor.
"He mocks me......MOCKS ME." A hearth's fiery glow reflects from wild pale eyes as a heavily clad figure turns from his now belligerent musings. "This...this.... half-man, this Pickston Rickticks."

A shadowed figure raises from a knee as the large pale skinned human turns. " Has it been that long Edgerd?" Furrows form on handsomely pale brows on the large figure. Furrows not of anger, but more as an afterthought of deep reflection. "Perhaps it is time once again to show these mortals why they should fear the very name of Valinor." Firelight twinkles from a large canine tooth as a smile breaks from death-purple lips. "Mortals, like wisps of a dream they go about their very existence..so much lost upon their ignorance and righteous self-importance." The pale man now stands before the shadowed figure, seemingly without moving.

"The fool knows nothing of Lothiel's blade." says the pale man as he wipes dark red fluid from his hands. "Blast him and that spurious bastard Midoran." Something akin to pain crosses the pale man's face. "Those imbeciles and their misguided FAITH!... the half-man shall not be so lucky again." Pale eyes narrow as a voice lowers to a near whisper. " The sword Edgerd. I want that sword. I care not how you get it. Use those damnable dark-skinned faerie if you have to." A large skeletal hand raises to grip a lifeless chin. " and HIS heart Egderd...... I want his heart". The shadowed figure bows at the head once and then like a dream is gone. The pale man crosses the floor and leans against the panes of a large framed window. The moon's glow chills the pale mans features to an even more death-like frame. "You should have taken my first offer manling. Now you shall know the name Valinor foolish one.....and HIS curse. ".........................................................................

Fri'el was very confused by the whole affair. How had the sword ended up with Pickston? She supposed it didn't matter now. She'd have to get it back- it was a gift from Alenuska! Or perhaps she didn't even need it. As long as the evil people didn't get it, right? She shrugged, and went back to polishing her armour.
And she couldn't have Pickston getting hurt- He was funny!

*A man donned in blazen white, walks up the steps to the main building of the Midoran Knights. There he is approached and addressed by a page or messenger of sorts. A sage nod, ere the tall Knight-Captain turns around and descends again the steps he climbed a second ago.*

Gather your arms, friend Cedron, it seems we have a lead to this mysterious fiend who assailed our temple. If those whom were grieved and wounded in the temple, will not accept the aid of Midoran's champions as formal apology and a gesture of good will; so be it. We dare not tarry in this effort to find this evil being and unravel his motives. Thus let is start an active search, instead of attempting to safeguard others of harm.
One of the Emerald Knights has approached me... and shared his information, providing an interesting lead. It seems we return to Valinor... It has been long. *Anandur nods to the man walking besides him* Aye, ask some of the priests along. These foes bear a weakness towards the light, let us pray it will be enough to stop this threat. Oh... and go search for miss Sky'gem. I believe she may play a vital part in this. *again Anandur nods, more firmly this time* Aye, try to find the halfling of which the father spoke... yet do not hinder him, nor trouble him with your presence. If the darkness will return to him, you must only be in the vicinity... lend aid if you can. If not *gravely Anandur eyes the other man (Cedron)* then flee. I fear courage and steel will avail little if my concerns but near the truth by a glimpse.

*Thus Anandur passes under the gate of Midor whilst the other man walks to the temple.*

Why can't I PM myself?

Don't iron out the Irony.
