**The Escape of Alenuska** Posted: 22 Oct 2003 09:39 PM |
*A flurry of guards bolt about Midor and Paws, tacking parchments and wooden boards to trees and posts. Glancing towards one of these posters, the crinkled edges outline a grim statement to the public of Midor and its neighboring cities*
"Attention to all citizens of Midor and Paws,
It is with great regret that the captain of the Midoran guard informs us that earlier this morning the captured woman known as Alenuska, wanted on several accounts of Murder, fraud, rape, and other acts of utter evil has escaped the watchful eye of the Midor prisons. Within her cell only a chilling mist of black and blue clung to the floor, none of her belongings remaining. All four guards on duty were found strewn about the prison cells, their necks cut and their blood turned to a grim purple. At this time we do not know of the causes, but it is with sincerity we advise extreme caution within the cities and the surrounding lands.
At this time no warrants have been given out for the arrest of the escaped woman known as Alenuska. Anyone with any leads or information is ordered by the Midoran courts to speak to the guard as soon as possible. We advise, under such dire circumstances, that no citizens or travelers take any actions towards this dangerous woman until more information can be secured.
Sincerely, Head of the Midoran Guards"
*At the bottom of the parchment is a crude drawing of Alenuska, with black hair and dark eyes, her features looking strangely beautiful for such a wonton killer...* |

Out-of-Character: In-game, this is reflected by a set of CreatureBehaviours (the MidorGuards), who responds to known Villians in, let's say, not quite friendly a manner. The behaviour is already scripted in 0.96c, which is on the server being looked at by Q (it doesn't load properly) |

A guard overhearing Vandle speaks slowly and deliberately, "Very soon, another evil on the noose." |

*A man with the bearing of a noble Knight, strides past the gates of Midor. His jaw is grimly set, grey eyes keenly observing his immediate surroundings. The emblem on his chest betrays his identity, Anandur Barradon, Knight-Captain; he pauses to converse with the guards and Knights at the gate.*
Soon we will venture forth to find the criminal. She has set the hour of her own demise. Yet she will but fall by might of Midoran's wise word and law. Nonetheless he has asked to aid him in this task. Gather a dozen men, we will extend our active search beyond the unseen borderlines of Midor.
Adventurers are welcome to join our 'quest' for justice.
*Then he walks off, strangely calm, despite the abominable task ahead.* |
