Playing with a lich is always dangerous. But even more so when your protections are ignored.
Read my death ward scroll.
UMD check: Innate Casting Failure Debug: umd check on item Death Ward SUCESS Scroll: (UMD skill total + roll) = 25 + 8 = 33 Against DC: 29
Hooray! I love UMD. Into the tomb I go, and there's the lich waiting for me right where I left him.
Deaths Head Lich casting unknown spell
Looks like weird to me. That's the animation for that spell.
Fennigan : Will Save vs. Mind Spells : *failure* :(4 + 7 = 11 vs. DC: 28) Fennigan : Fortitude save vs. Death : *failure* : (17 + 10 = 27 vs. DC: 28)
Ah, I expected that to fail! Thankfully I'm under the protection of death ward!
Deaths Head Lich killed Fennigan
Wait, what?
So is this normal for that spell? Was I incorrect in thinking that Death Ward protected me from instant death affects? Am I missing something? Unfortunately, I don't have logging on so I had to type all that into my journal before I logged out so I could have the numbers. |

The effect is correct. Why? FOIG.
