Hannibal "Animal" Wilder's Tale Posted: 19 Sep 2006 01:23 AM |
((OOC Description that would be seen if he is viewed with the Detail command. None of this info is common knowlege which isn't obvious by appearance. I mentioned Humanoid form, because... well, that may change in later levels. This is NOT an entry in his journal. Note that due to his history, he is unlikely to actually keep a journal himself, papers mentioned could likely get lost or destroyed. I recently discovered that I wasn't the first in Vives to have this idea, so it may be fun if Toril made another appearance, as I've never met him IG with any of my PCs. I swear I didn't know he existed before I made "Animal", and "Animal" is more likely to emulate humans more, due to the close proximity of them to his rearing grounds.))
DESCRIPTION
"You may only see eyes in the wilderness, watching you. Wild and dedicated to maintaining the balance in nature, this creature has focused on harnessing it's energy toward that aim."
BELOW
HUMANOID FORM: Half-Elf Height: 5'7" Build Sturdy w/ defined musclulature Eyes: Dark-brown (almost black) shiny Hair: Blond, knappy/dreaded, dirty Skin: Dark Brown.
Dark skin, dirty & stained for seldom being washed: one would wonder if he EVER intentionally bathed for sanitary motivations. He has many scars & self-inflicted tatoos on his body. His hair for lack of washing, has become dreaded, and he has decoratively put crude ties and feathers in his hair amongst the dirt and debris.
HISTORY
His true name is Hannibal Wilder, which was on a chain that he had worn since he could remember. Only after he had begun his informal training in the monastary did he learn what it meant.
His mother, an Elf, was chased down by Midoran guards and slain in the woods near the great plains while trying to secretly show the father his son... the father was a human, and a Midoran. Fortunately, she was able to hide the baby beneath a tree, under some brush, before she was mercilessly slain.
Later a bemoaned brown bear, who had recently lost all her babies to hunters, found the baby and adopted it as her own, nursing it and raising it to early adolescence. This bear still follows him & even protects him on occasion. It is safe to say that she is never far away.
When a monk of Asahi found the dirty uneducated "wild" child and saw the necklace, he jokingly named it "animal" and the name has stuck amidst his mentors and friends.
He struggled with his studies due to lack of education and his wild temperament. He tends to disappear into the forests for long periods of time returning to his animal instincts. |

*The writing stops with a scribble ending in a scratch. The paper is torn. There is a large ink blot near the bottom, and a perforation (apparently the size of a feather quil) of to the side of the sheet, it's apparently been crumpled at some point. It seems to have been masticated on the corner.*
