Oriental suits for non-humans?
Posted: 01 Sep 2006 01:06 PM
I was visiting the oriental clothing store, but most of the clothes I tried didn't appear. Instead, I just saw a naked Ayntherian with just biceps of the suit. As sexy as he may be, I'd still prefer him wearing something. It first I was told to check my haks, but I don't think that's the issue.
Then I was told that maybe those custom made outfits of Vives weren't modified to fit anything non-human, or something...?

If it's a problem with me - Any explanation, please?
If it's a problem of the server - can it be changed?

Aside from certain outfits being gender specific (and marked thusly) I'm drawing a blank.

The items only have appearances for the human model. That's just the way that hakpack is.

Colisfu, the author of those Clothing models has not transformed his models for other races/phenotypes. In his hak that we incoperated, only two sizes were incoperated, thin human males, and thin human females. For the clothing to appear on other races, they would have to come in the other racial sizes, which means another 5 races, 2 sexes each, 2 sizes each.... 20 models, + large phenotype humans... which is 22 new sizes for the same model. The NWN community has produced a model racial resizer tool, I think, but I'm not quite sure how accurate it is, and I think most modelers still resize manually.

Human only models are fairly prevalent in early stage (often final stage) clothing haks. The Hauberks are human only... the Trench coats are male only. If you try Lisa's Oriental stuff, she has all her clothing resized for each race and phenotype. (Dragon monk shirts etc.)

Hauberks actually fit all races, the reason that most of those IG don't is that they are tagged human only in their properties. The halflings guards in Brandibuck wear them, as do one or two Elves who have custom apparel
