Plenty of manly armours have the option to craft on cloaks and others have them already
I'm not sure if there are many with frilly bits bells ribbons and bows that would suit an elfywoodspoofer though.
You may have to stick to the customary Billy Elliot type attire that so befits your chosen species.

Various custom haks appear to have been added in order to expand the ever-important heroic wardrobe. The options you get when crafting armor seem to rely heavily on the base item being crafted - and yes, you just use the standard method.
As for finding the location of these places, ask a character in-game. Most PCs are friendly by default and those that normally aren't have been known to make exceptions for newbies. ) |

FOIG. The names of the armour, though, are a hint - if you do some exploring. Or you can ask around IC - that's what the Trading Post forum is for. |

Re: Cloaks Posted: 27 May 2006 09:27 AM |
Well...all that is just too complicated to obtain such a simple common everyday medieval item that all people had, from the simple peasant to the noble all had a cloak. It was the jacket/coat of the era. I'm not tryin to be picky but when i play my characters, i like to be unique and i go for a specific look when making them. Items and what not dont matter....it could just be standard cloth for all i care, but i need the look or it just dont work for me.
I wish you guys well with you server but i think im gonna look elsewhere
thanks :) |

I read the FAQ, and I know you probably get this asked very often, but;
Why doesn't this server include CEP? Will it mess up the current haks or something like that? (I have no knowledge what so ever about these technical issues, though I'm assuming it's something like that :p) |

Re: Cloaks Posted: 27 May 2006 10:26 AM |
Vives pre-dates CEP. Switching over to CEP would require a lot of time and effort. It has been discussed and is still being discussed; but as the builders don't get to work on Vives full time and prefer to add things to the world that 1/ won't break anything, 2/ actually adds to the lore/gameplay/etc and 3/ doesn't require a massive amount of effort for a small amount of benefit, don't hold your breath.
It is also the reason why customising custom armour parts is so dodgy. In order to add custom parts to the list of appearances in any sort of intuitive way on the part of the builders would require writing up an armour/weapon customisation system from scratch. To give an idea of the effort required—if I were to start scripting one up now, NWN2 and Vives 2 would both have come out before I finish. |

Re: CEP.
It won't ever be implemented in Vives, ever.
Vives uses most of the content that CEP uses already (vives existed well before CEP). To "convert" to cep would involve redoing just about every area to replace the vives content with CEP content since you could not just "add" CEP to vives.
Honestly, it'd be easier to redo vives from scratch.

Just on the subject of tailoring, in general:
I've been playing around with my own look since day one. But nothing that I do when I craft armor affects anything in my tradeskills journal. Does this mean I'm not doing something I should be doing? If so, what is that thing? |

Re: Cloaks Posted: 28 May 2006 12:14 PM |
CNR is completely separate from craft armour/weapon/trap.
CNR tailoring has absolutely nothing to do with Craft Armour.
So, you've been doing nothing wrong.
See the FAQ. |
