Once one of my characters enters an area that causes NWN to crash for me I can never get back into that character without crashing. Has anybody experienced this before or can tell me how to fix it? I know some of the ATI drivers have problems with NWN. Also check to see if you have shiney water switched on, if you do try disabling it and see if that helps the problem. When I tried to join as that character, NWN would crash on loading every time, and when I took another character through a transition into an area with the same tileset, it did the same thing. After trying a multitude of things, uninstalling and then reinstalling NWN was what finally fixed it for me. I'm not sure if it's the same problem, but it sounds similar. It prevented me from entering Icy Vale (and I happened to be there at the time... so it crashed as I logged in). Another help may be to just delete your hak folder and reinstall the haks (I hope you saved them). This solved a similar problem for me. I actually redownloaded the haks and then reinstalled them.
