Hey y'all,
Apparently the ISP is doing some sort of maintenance, so the connection has been and prolly will be a bit choppy today. Sorry for the inconvience.

*We* know the truth. It's the Vives community Chaotic Evil followers of the daemons Lag, Reset, and Crash celebrating a holy day by mass-sacrificing our EPs. *maniacal laugh*

Dieties preserve us from the evil chaotics named Lag, Crash, and Server Reset. PCs: Loli Dankirk (Ftr 18/Brd 8.5 @ 1777 hrs) left Vives for Origins; Gnora Gnombody (Sor 5 @ 54 hrs) and Amanda Stark (Wiz 3 @ ~10 hrs) left Vives for Feline Providence. |

Well, I know you're not all around to read this, but... the ISP service-person is coming out tomorrow bright & early (at least for me) to find out why they suck. Details to follow....

Well as y'all can tell, the connection is back up and fairly healthy. The ISP claims that the network outage has been remedied.

| Can I ask what kind of connection does the module/website host have and could it be possible to seperate the two(someone else hosts site and someone else hosts the module) ? |

I'm not sure this would be practical, since the website and the mod are so intimately connected behind the scenes. It's possible, sure, but more retooling and perhaps performance problems that I want to design around right now. It it a good idea, just more work.

| Hey, I think I speak for everyone when I say *Take your time* and concentrate on the things you think are most important. As time goes on if it is possible to have another server so that when the module goes down we can move to the site it would be cool.... just not imperitive. |

Well, they've acknowledged the [new] issue and they comp'd my account for $12 for last week's outage :)

Well, the ISP says that they *now* have addressed all local outages, and we were still having problems. So, as one last ditch attempt to solve the problem, I got a new cablemodem and just swapped it in and I am now seeing zero packet loss (as opposed to 25% earlier today). So I think all of the issues involved have been fixed. Hazzah!
