I'm not sure this would be practical, since the website and the mod are so intimately connected behind the scenes. It's possible, sure, but more retooling and perhaps performance problems that I want to design around right now. So, as one last ditch attempt to solve the problem, I got a new cablemodem and just swapped it in and I am now seeing zero packet loss (as opposed to 25% earlier today). So I think all of the issues involved have been fixed.
