Hurricane Katrina

I just wanted to ask that all of you keep the victims of Hurrican Katrina in your thoughts and your prayers. I have several friends with family members in New Orleans.

Alianda - Change can happen.
Lara - half-elven Ranger, trying to reshape her life
Tia - Cleric of Vilyave

Sorry for the double post, but I just learned that Alabama is without power. Five of my husband's Aunts and Uncles and their families live there. Several are in very poor health. Please keep them in your thoughts.

I live here in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Just now got Cox cable back. It really has caused alot of damage and destruction. Fortunatly Baton Rouge did not suffer too much from the storm, but New Orleans and surrounding areas have suffered the most. Because of this all of the people from New Orleans have moved to Baton Rouge and it is not far from chaos right now. Baton Rouge ihas always been a small city, and it has enough people now to be considered a very large city. New Orleans is not supposed to be habitable for atleast a month to two months. So Baton Rouge has become this states largest populated city, and we were not ready for it. So we appreciate all your support and prayers. They really will help I know. Hope to see you all in game some time!

May my brother soon join you in Baton Rouge. He's holed up in the Holiday Inn on Royal Street in New Orleans just kind of waiting. He lived on Burgundy in a ground-floor apartment.

He'll only be a guest for as long as it takes to get a bus ticket. I think he's just going to head back to Pittsburgh where my folks live and start over.

Just crazy, isn't it?!! Hard to put into words how crazy this is.

"What are you talking about?"

"I'm talking about dying."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"It means lying in the ground with dirt on your face and holding your breath forever."

1000's dead...bodies and caskets floating everywhere and now the gas scare is upon us. gas stations are flooded and reports are now many have run dry. lines for miles stretch outside the ones that still have gas. go fill your tanks up! hurry!! our prayers go out to those who have loved ones in these areas.

"PLEASE!!! Bury me with it!"

my thoughts and wishes go out to everyone out there. to lose everything in a day is hard to imagine and there are thousands right now who have nothing and are struggling to survive, to get a clean ,cool glass of water to drink. it makes vives a retreat now away from so much pain and suffering. i hope things work out quickly and my prayers go out to everyone affected by this. in a perfect world a flock of multicolored beautiful dragons would set things right. in this world we just have each other.

Wonder if it is coincidence I get into a near fatal accident around the same time as this tragedy? lol

My best wishes go out to the families involved in this tragedy. I've already emailed the Salvation Army that me and my family would be more than glad to welcome in a small family displaced by Katrina...preferably some cajuns...mmm...gumbo...
