Item Identification
Posted: 06 Sep 2003 09:32 AM
First of all I have to say that I'm enjoying my time here.I have seen alot and ran across several interesting players. But I have a minor problem,I bought a nice new shiny set of plate mail with a tantalizing magical glow to itWinkSo I promptly set off to the local clergy hoping to enlist his aid in iding the magical nature of the metal. His deity couldn't help me so I went to the neighborhood's fingerwaggler and he turned a blind eye to me as well.Bottom line is how on earth am I going to get this nice set of armor identified? For all I know its beyond my ability to use right now anyway.WinkThanks in advance for any help.

I suggest asking one of the higher level mages, or anyone who can cast identify. I won't name names, because none are my PCs. But there are people out there who will ID your items for you. You might lucky and find a potion of lore too.

I know the staff/builders talked as well of several NPC's scattered around that can in fact ID items for a fair price, not sure if those are in yet or not, but such seers and curmudgeons would be hard pressed to find if they were there...

So, in the mean time, wizards (even level 3 wizards) would be your best bet at the moment

If you need some help, there is a handy Elven sorceress wandering the lands. She also tends to carry a large bow, and has a panther familiar. She wears white and red clothes for liesure, and black and red for battle. She stands out.

Or ask a certain Dias Ashfield, mostly found around the library. ;)

Luther McIath: I see, so [X is] the right person in the wrong place with the wrong people at the wrong time.

[Fictrix] ... And can speak French, like both! Wait, I mean Elven.
