The Emissary's Gambit

The crow needed no prompting to land on his shoulder. Such creatures were often the servants of those like him, sometimes by choice, other times by magical influence. This particular crow was not so much a living creature as it was the reanimated parts of several bird species all carefully stitched together. Several parts of it's body had no feathers, instead replaced by putrid flesh and sometimes even bone. Its eyes were two hollow cavities, though the creature seemed to be able to see just fine.

Gabriel Eurfalio, the Emissary of Undead, did not possess the knowledge or the patience to build such a creature. The one that created this creature, and several other unique "inventions" for Gabriel's master, lived far away, in a place much colder then the Kobai desert. Gabriel gave this little thought as he looked to the monstrous crow now perched on his shoulder.

"What have you seen?" He asked the crow. The bird's head was fully feathered, with exposed bone around a small area at the base of the beak. The bird cocked it's head at several odd angles, all the while staring at Gabriel. "There are not many, but there are some." Gabriel nodded. Soldiers would be easy to come by in the coming war, but Gabriel knew that even a million shambling corpses could not accomplish his masters goals. To win, he would need the loyalty of true believers.

To win, he would need to rally others to his cause. That was why he sent the Emissary. And that was why Gabriel had sent the crow, that abominable creature, into the mortal world. A message was about to be sent. The only question now was who would answer?

((All characters with a relation to the undead please PM me your character name and a brief synopsis of what your character's been doing. Even if it's only a sentence, any information would be appreciated.

*Andurian enters Icy Vale to find the city entrances guarded by the righteous sword as well as the local militia, he smiles to himself that he was keen enough to travel without being seen.*

He chuckles to himself as he sees Byron Lorian, Paladin of Midor entering the inn.

"It would appear that Midor has sent its finest canines to... sniff the nether regions of this city for me"

"I shoudlnt wish to not help in keeping them on their toes" *grins wickedly*

With that he removed his pack and began piling its contents, primarily human remains on the ground and began to chant and gesture. The bones fuse together and what was once alive is once more but not quite... The skeleton chieftain picks up a sword and shoulders it. A corpse rises, a foul odor eminating from its body.. it picks up a hammer. The two immediately recognize their new lord as such and ready themselves for what will come next.

*points into the inn at the paladin Lorian* "My will be done, destroy the dog of Midor and his cohorts!"

The creatures rush in and the Paladin attacks without a word being spoken, a brief battle ensues and people run screaming from the inn. Andurian watches amusedly from the shadows.. Lorian smites the creations with relative ease, but is now shaken that such an event could happen with the RS guarding every entrance. He asks the local militia outside if they seen any"undead enter the inn"...

*whispers in the direction of the paladin before departing* "In time, you will be the one rushing in for me"

*walks off towards the sea of Ice*

Byron: "I am not a paladin."

((I should have that on a quick key.))

Byron: "And I certainly am not of Midoran."

My name is Byron Lorian....I am the Last Son

((Yes, but my PC wouldnt know that based off of his impression of Byrons behavior you see. He acts like a Paladin (Byron). As far as the not being of Midoran, I didnt know that personally but that was the impression that Andurian had what with all the RS around. So nyah.))
