Posted: 19 Aug 2003 03:26 PM Here's a little design/implementation task for two (or more) people (i) interested in learning scripting, and has some previous experience; (ii) just interested in writing up about drugs and their effects, without implementations. Objective: To research and design a variety of edible drugs. The drugs will be pickable from various plants, and has primary, secondary, as well as prolonged effects. Task: You'd be given a fully commented scripting template designed with the above three effects as 'slots-to-fill-in'. Estimated Time: 2 + 1 hours (design / Implementation respectively) Open To: Everybody. If you're interested in helping out, PM Aria, or reply here. The piece would be eventually published the the wider community with full credit given. Posted: 19 Aug 2003 04:01 PM I wouldn't mind doing the writing part. I'll try the scripting part as well, if you'd like, but my scripting's...dodgy...to say the least. I'm more interested in seeing folks having fun writing/building/learning and getting involved than really homing in after the 'product' In the meantime, feel free to work on the ideas and let me know (via PM or otherwise). Posted: 19 Aug 2003 05:12 PM oooo that can actually work! just thinking about it.. you can poison ppl.. make em sleep... make em dizzy and steal their stuff! =P lots of stuff! the point is.. how do you want to make it? maybe the unique effect of an item can be stored in the DB and changed when someone use the drug or something? Posted: 22 Aug 2003 08:33 AM i was thinking to add some drugs/narcotics in the Alchemy CNR.. So the boiling and mixing etc etc part could be part of Alchemy. Sug. "ehehehehe,.."
