Hi All,
We don't often post about the changes we make to the mod as it is usually a FOIG thing.
However, a recent set of changes requires your attention. I have gone and added some fixes to spells that have had "implementation issues". Spellcasters take note: If one of your favourite spells is in here, please pay attention and let me know if everything works as described.
It'll take me a while to test everything, but you can help me speed up the process..

(ok) greater sanctuary uses the invisibility visual effect, in addition to the swirly blue lights
Is this now bug free?

Out of curosity.. Would there happen to be any plans to use the tlk file to make these changes appear on the spells themselves? If the DM's do not have time to, perhaps someone else?
Also.. List of tested: - Dominate Monster, Dominate Person, Dominate Animals = 1 turn per level, not one round- Dominate Person confirmed to last longer than rounds.
- sunburst does d8 damage vs undead instead of d6- Noticed damage increase, assumeing that it is inflicting the said d8 damage now.
- clarity also removes fear, does not do damage when removing bad effects. Duration 1 turn/level- Confirmed to remove fear, did not inflict damage, and lasted over 1 round |

Depends. It would be worth doing. I would like to change a few of the strings, such as changing Champion of Torm to Divine Champion.
Editing the tlk file would allow us to do cool things like, add new spells, for instance.
Anyone know of any good tlk editors?

Some of these changes are amazing and solve a lot of the complaints I've had with a number of spells for a long time.
The changes also mean that my spellcasting lineup is going to change a LOT.

Tested:
- drown, does 1d6 dmg/level, rather than 90% of hp... does magical damage (ok) - Not sure about maximise/empower
- energy drain does not get a fortitude saving throw (ok)
- mind blank also removes fear (ok)
- incendiary cloud has no SR check (ok)
- banishment only targets enemies summons, not friendlies (ok)
- bigby's forceful hand does d8 damage as well as including hte casters ability modifer in teh check (Not working, obviously doesn't include int modifier)
- no SR check for acid fog (ok)
- dismissal only targets enemies summons, not friendlies (ok)
- wall of fire is 1 round / level, not every 2 levels. does 2d6+1/level of caster, not 4d6. does double damage vs undead, no reflex save as per phb (ok)
- cone of cold does d8 instead of d6 (ok)
- enervation has no fort save (ok)
- confusion only affects enemies, not allies (ok)
- web - no SR as it is a physical effect. Lasts 1 round a level (ok)
- tasha's hideous laughter lasts one round per level as PHB (ok)
- grease gets no SR as it is a physical effect. (ok)

Greater Sanctuary does indeed use the invis spell display but the bug still exists. |

Greater Sanctuary has always worked for me, without fail.
In order to track down the bug, can you tell me what it takes to reproduce it?
- what are the minimum spells you have cast on yourself to trigger this? For example, casting invisibility after GS causes GS to become "See through" to those creatures with see invisibility or true sight.
- does it happen with the same creature, or is it random? |

I cannot remember who told me this, I think it was one of the old Thain guys who have switched, but apparently its a known bug.
Basically every so often when you cast Greater Sanctuary it only works as Sanctuary.
The significance of this is that if they make a save they can see right through it and whats more can attack you. Since GS means you cannot be targeted even if they have TS (except by area of effect spells in Vives because they dont have planes GAH!) this can be quite frustrating (them targeting you, not the Vives mono-planar thing).
I havent noticed what triggers it yet but shall keep my eyes open.
One thing to note is sometimes you are forwarned as the Sanctuary icon is displayed as opposed to the GS icon, so you know your vulnerable. But this doesnt always work.
I have to admit I have only noticed this problem recently but apparently like I said it is a known bug which is why I havent made to much a fuss about it as I thought it was non-repairable.

And I have died to this because a guard was able to attack me and I didnt know GS was working as S. |

The bug you are referring to is mentioned in the 1.66beta 2 notes as being fixed.
How strange that I never saw that bug happen.
Anyway, engine bug, so nothing we can do until the next patch.

Aslyrai has Never been able to get past Vaastilaax with Greater Sanctuary... One time... I even stood with my Greater Santuary in effect.. ( I was effected by fear, because he saw me) while Vaast took a good long 40 seconds or so to kill me, the whole time still having my GS on...
Another day, I tried again, and he could still see me, (but not Bereil that lucky bastard)
I've never had problems getting past Vaast unseen with Greater Sanctuary with Daimon, however. (If you don't know, don't ask)

I have only had problems as Sol with GS once or twice. I am fairky certain that the spell icon was still the GS one though. And the monsters could just see me every time I cast it (4 or 5 times) that one reset. Next reset it was fine *shrugs* has happened once or twice since, but I logged out soon after it happening so not sure if it was a reset thing or just a one-off.

There was some kind of change in the mod that made it happen all the more frequently for me.
I cannot remember what it is, but I had never seen it before.
That said, you shouldnt be using GS to sneak past dragons anyway as they can (if the AI works) still use their breath weapon. Thats because of some odd Vives thing but I learned the hardway!
