Vives PC Widgets

This thread will have a complete list (as I remember them) of Widgets in Vives and their uses mostly taken from the PHB.

Players Stone

When activated, this widget transports the PC to the Player's Lounge. This is an out of character where for either going afk, or having out of character conversations with other players or DM's. There is a portal leading from the lounge back to the 'real' world of Vives. This can also be activated with the '/lounge' voice command.

*Note: Do not drop or trade any items in the lounge. They will automatically be destroyed if you do so.

Vives Bug Reporter

This blue spider widget will summon a friendly penguin, Arathon, which will record the next line you speak to our database. This information is used in maintaining and improving Vives. This can also be activated by the '/bug' voice command.

Charisma Tip

This Widget is used to simulate a 'first-impression' of a newly met PC which can be utilized at your discretion in your role-play. The output is based on a combination of your Charasima, the targets Charisma, racial, and gender differences.

Player Information

This widget intiates a menu with many features to aid in finding other PC's to role-play. You can see a list of PC's that choose to be shown in the list, as well you can use it to set your status to Looking for group (LFG) or Away from Keyboard (AFK) as well as choose to be included or excluded from the list. The choice to be annonymous is persistant, all other choices must be made every time you log in. This can also be activated with the '/pcinfo' command.

PC Emote Wand

When activated, this widget that is part of the DMFI Wand package, can be used to perform various emote type animations. All of these emotes can be accessed via voice emotes listed here>

PC Dice Bag

This widget, when activated, opens a conversation window that allows you to make various Dice Rolls for use in your role play. You can also activate most of these rolls by voice commands listed in the same thread as the emotes (above)

Subdue Widget

This widget toggles Subdue mode on or off for the PC. With Subdue mode on, when you fatally injure another PC they are not killed and only knocked unconcious. Turning it off, will cause the PC you fatally injure to require a respawn or ressurection/raise. Default for Subdue mode is on. This can also be activated by the voice command '/subdue'. Keep in mind the PvP policies of Vives when using this widget. Unfortunatly, magic attacks will still kill a PC even when Subdue is used.

Vives Voice Summoner

This widget can be used to jump the 'listener' that follows you around to enable voice emotes, voice commands, and racial and summon speak. If the 'listener' gets lost or falls behind, use this and it will move your listener to you.

Ranger tracking tool (/track)

This is not actually a widget, as it is only accessable through the '/track' command, but warrants discussion here. This can be used by rangers to simulate their tracking ability. Using this command (you can precede it with '/dm' so your party doesn't see it) will return information to you about what creatures may be in the area.

Wilderness Lore Widget

This widget can be used by Rangers, Barbarians, and Druids in natural, outdoor areas to simulate the Wilderness lore feat. Using this, the PC will attempt to gather firewood for a campsite, as well as rations for their party. This can only be used once per day.

Racial Language Widgets

If your PC has the ability to speak two or more languages, these widgets can be used to switch between languages. Simply use the widget for the language you wish to speak, then use the racial language syntax exampled in the voice emote thread to speak in that language. These can also be issued by DM's to allow your PC to learn other languages.

Camera Widget

This widget can be used for taking screen shots that you do not want your PC to appear in. Activating this will temporarily make you 'cut-scene' invisible, allowing you to take your screenshoot. Please note that this will not make you invisible to NPC's or creatures and its use is communicated to DM's and recorded in the logs. This can also be activated by the '/camera' command.

Vives Toolbox

And this can be used for holding all your PC widgets. I suppose you can use it for holding other things.

*Do not use this to sneak past other PC's
