Pick and Jess's Wild Adventures would like to welcome our newest tour guide......Grunge!!!
Grunge is one of the oldest residents on the lands...we hope his vast knowledge of the areas can add to our lovely tours.....if you dont believe me ask our two latest satisfied customers.....Gasher and Chandler...both got to see Shadow Giants and a very angry dragon that happened to be waiting at the entrance to a cave....*sigh* well rest assured form the screams of agony it could be made out that one of them was saying "I LOVE THIS ADVENTURE!!"..while the other seemed to be signaling us that we are number one! PJWA would also like to thank Fri'el for her constant raising of the dead....not that it happens to often.....eh....well sometimes....

Have you not had enough dirtnaps lately? Life become dull mundane and even worse relatively safe? Call the offices of PJWA ta-day. They will take you on a thrilling ride, an edge of your seat, white knuckled, cheek clenching journey to the depths of a six foot hole.
You don't want to miss the excitement of the draconic dungeon of doom. You cannot even begin to imagine the joys of the demonic debacle, the fiendish frenzy, the Savage serpant sessions or perhaps the most frightening of all the half orc strip club.
Bring plenty of ale , and spare underwear, never hurts to carry around a shovel either. What would you expect to pay for such grandiose adventures? 100 gold? NO.. 50 gold? Not a chance. Try -absolutely free-!!! Free ? you ask how this can be? -EASY- PJWAs' close relations with both the midor infirmary and the seven sisters near port royale pleases the latter organizations so much they are willing to give a small cut to the offices of PJWA. therefore NO and I repeat -NO- expense to you , the satisfied customer.

A satisfied customer/ guest guide,
Gasher Bloodspuer

I would like to take this opportunity to point out that the the very sight of the frost dragon was well worth the 954 experience points that I lost. What a bargain! I would have paid a much higher cost to even catch a glimpse of one of those fine specimens, let alone be gouged in the back by one of his talons as I fled screaming from the cave. The scar across my shoulderblade and the permanent limp that I now possess are only a few of the small things that will always remain a part of me.

Yes, in addition to Fen's post...

The vives staff hereby declares to take no responsibility for the losses you suffer (be it items or your petty life!) whilst partaking in this rollercoaster ride into the darker sides of the world of vives.

The two persons in charge of this wondrous journey, are certified 'nutters', yet naturally deep inside they are very warm, friendly and cuddly, so that's why we bear with them!

Anyways have fun, and dont come whining if you get exactly what you signed for! ;)

Why can't I PM myself?

Hey Jessup & Pick

Just wanted to say thanks again...last night's adventures were great and fun-filled with death and the usual shenanigans, as ususal *grins*

Sign me up for your trip to see the Quicklings!

***One question, and this is mainly for a DM, but open to anyone who has Wailing Banshee experience: Last night while fighting the Banshees, they kept releasing their wails(death magic) on us, and Gene has death ward(immunity to death magic)...and so does Walin. Why then are the banshees able to still kill us with death magic even though our death ward spells were still in use? is this a bug, or just the way it works? I'm not trying to sound like a smart a$ here, i just don't understand this and was wondering how to avoid any future deaths to the Banshees' wail. Does not Immunity to death magic mean...immunity to death magic? any insight here would be terrific.***

That would be a bug:

Some of the death magic spells don't have a death immunity check; they certainly didn't used to. Death Ward should protect against Wail fo the Banshee- though as it's the creature "Banshee"'s wail, there might be a difference: It's not a death spell, it's a sonic mind affecting death affect (If I remember correctly, my MM's at home... =P). Thus I'd imagine that technicly you'd need immunity to mind affecting and death ward......

However, as with all of these things, the best protection is an insanely high fort and will save. Death wards et al can be dispelled :P

thanks Barnas!

that makes much more sense now. i was only using death ward and not mind spell immunity. I think the safest thing to do is to gracefully *bow* and not return there to visit them. On a side note, we were dispelling them at first, but as i'm sure you know there are many banshees in their cave, and only so much dispell/silence to go around *smiles*...but thank you for your insight!

As I said, that's just off the top of my head; they may well just be casting the spell in which case only death ward should work... I'll check with my MM when I get home and post if I was talking out of my arse or not...

Just a reminder in response to the discussion about the Banshees... Please do not discuss these things in a public forum. If you feel there is a bug, report it with the bug reporter or send a PM to all DM's if you feel it is very very urgent ;).

After all we want everyone to find out for themselves what they must do when encountering a Banshee. Describing here what they do and how you can best avoid these effects... just don't it spoils the experience and is offering OOC knowledge for an IC situation.

Thank you.

*Loli overhears Pickston muttering to himself and mutters to herself* How does he expect people to react when he stand around calling them snobs under his breath? And the ... other problem. He didn't used to do that all the time. Must be something wrong with his diet now. Probably drinking too much beer while he's leading those thrill-seeker tours of his. I didn't much like his crude references to my ... chest, either, that he made one night in Midor. I was too naive when he made them to understand what he was saying back then, but I've learned since what he was talking about. *glowers*

Dieties preserve us from the evil chaotics named Lag, Crash, and Server Reset.
PCs: Loli Dankirk (Ftr 18/Brd 8.5 @ 1777 hrs) left Vives for Origins; Gnora Gnombody (Sor 5 @ 54 hrs) and Amanda Stark (Wiz 3 @ ~10 hrs) left Vives for Feline Providence.
