Here's an example of moral cowardice:
Replace the blueprint of 80% weight reduction bags with 60% weight reduction bags in the database. Don't announce it, the players might be unhappy. Just wait for the next reset to change all the bags in persistant storage, and for PCs to visit the OOC Lounge for their next post-DM-quest meeting. Then smirk and say "Sorry, nothing we can do!" Run away sniggering and plan your next secret move. |
Dieties preserve us from the evil chaotics named Lag, Crash, and Server Reset. PCs: Loli Dankirk (Ftr 18/Brd 8.5 @ 1777 hrs) left Vives for Origins; Gnora Gnombody (Sor 5 @ 54 hrs) and Amanda Stark (Wiz 3 @ ~10 hrs) left Vives for Feline Providence. |

Slink, anyone who has read your recent posts sees you stay here for...well, no one can find the reason in ANY of your snide recent posts since you abandoned CNR for the entire server, and shown an utter lack of anything respectful or contributory towards the server as a whole.
There's the door, don't let it hit you on the way out.

Re: Moral Cowardice Posted: 22 Mar 2004 01:09 PM |
| But it was sort of announced.. if you take a look at the max item specs posted in the forums and in the new players guide, you will see that 80% weight reduction is banned. No suprise here. |

*sarcasm* Oh my goodness, I can believe you saw through my grand plan */sarcasm*
As I told the person whom this actually happened to, not slink, I am more than willing to work things out with him, and will do what I can to fix things. He suffered from a bug not some grand plan of mine to screw him over as you seem to imply.
You really need to get off your attitude trip slink, or as Fen said.. |

Barnas is of the opinion that so long as people are willing to get angry with people they have never met. no internet community can be happy.
Things happen IG which annoy players. Players do things which annoy DMs. DMs do things which annoy players. Admins do things which annoy DMs, and the list goes on.
However, what is most important to remember is that people do not do these things for the sake of angering another. Indeed; these things are likely in that persons opinion the best and right course of action.
Acceptance of this fact is what makes a community work. Things happen which will annoy us, but we can have fun regardless.
However, so soon as people flame each other or get angry with each other, this falls apart. It's a shame, as well- because people who are neutral can see that all parties are nice people, and all of the arguments have merits.
"An eye for an eye, and the whole world goes blind"
It's a slight misquote, but you get the idea.
Think on this, perhaps, before getting angry with each other and sending flames slinging about.
