Forthcoming Updates: Posted: 16 Mar 2004 12:17 PM |
As some may (or may not know) My RL Workload has decreased a little for the forseeable future.... this means I'm back in the toolset with a vengeance :D So here is a list of Forthcoming Updates which are due to take place over the next few Weeks (in no discernable order) from me:
(1) Game mechanic "fixes"...... see many other threads for details, also a trawl through bug-reports.
(2) Ferein will be undergoing some drastic changes, complete with merchants, npc's, Quests etc etc..... many of which is utilising the new Elven City tileset we have at our disposal.
(3) The Isle and Realm of Nethar'u will be making it's "Dramatic" appearance..... some hints as to what this realm involves have been given out in game and elsewhere.
(4) A great deal of other areas will also be finished including...... The Realm of Ischlak and the Interiors/mines etc..... The Frozen Wastes will also be getting an expansion leading onto the Tumata Glacier and eventually (some players might remember "fondly") a re-imaged Heaven's Spine.
(5) Areas close to Fiirhallen will be added, with a new hoard of beasties close by.
(6) Undraeth will be changed/altered utilising proper Drow tilesets..... this is in conjunction with some improved areas in and around Fenghuul (don't want to give too much away here ;))
(7) What other people will soon notice is that the underground areas will soon begin to link up, almost as a mirror image of the surface areas of Vives...... this is not an "Underdark" in the FR sense, but rather a slightly different "take" on things.
(8) Port Royale "expansions" - not giving too much away on this either ;)
(9) A shedload of new monsters will be appearing..... some Bioware ones that have, as yet not made many appearances in-game such as Beholder, Illithid, New Slaad, Demons and Devils etc..... also many many other Custom created ones such as Treants and new variations on existing critters such as Rocs and Quicklings. These will be biased towards mid and higher level players, but will also take into consideration other lower level players.
(10) Quests, Quests, and more Quests...... also including new NPC's giving more detailed History etc about the World.... these will be geared to all levels :D
(11) Lots of other "stuff".
Cheers :D

You <profanity removed and replaced with "not so nice person">
I was just getting my Vives addiction under control, telling myself I had advanced nicely, and that I had seen most of Vives now and that RL work really does need some of my TLC as does my lovely GF who has sat patiently (and somewhat intrigingly) in the wings waiting for me to return each night to bed from a world she does not understand.
And there you go with all you fancy little updates, your intriguing little previews and your cunning little exploits to make sure none of us addicts leave you fold.
Oh well, I guess I am destined to never get my work done but Im sure is hell guarenteed more fun in Vives.
So thanks thanks alot!

i vote for "Swarthy Elves". there's just something about elves that shouldnt be swarthy, hence its perfect for the drow-not-drow. |
