Favourite Gathering Places? Posted: 05 Feb 2004 02:19 PM |
I'm quite curious where are the top-5 favourite gathering places for you adventurers... and is it level-dependent? Character-type dependent? (alignment / class)
I'm asking because we're at the stage where we're really going to be stop adding things, but making what we have Víves-perfect and Víves-immersive. I'm brushing up places as my 15 hours quest comes along, but I'd like to also furnish other places as well - and it might as well be places you spend more time in!
So let us know,

| Mostly, now, the Great Plains. Though, as Dias can confirm, SJ is willing to stop and talk anywhere :p |

The Great Plains. Port Royale
These two places are the most "central" |
Purpose in life: finding better ways of allowing players to kill themselves. Repeatedly. -- "...Cause he mixes it with love And makes the world taste good." -- <@James42> Lawful good isn't in your vocabulary, it's on your menu.

Heh. Can you be more specific? Say, "the crossroad at fourwinds inn" instead of northern highway / fourwinds?
The reason I'm asking is, to furnish the place we'll be putting down quite abit of placeables, and those are resource intensive particularly with regards to walkmesh and creature pathfinding. And your computer rendering as well
But great going. Looking forward to making things look that much more immersive and encaptivating.

| The common place at the Great Plains is the campfire. I'd like to see some benches there, for any improvements :] Otherwise, it's sparsity is actually useful. As it's not laggy. |

Midor (But with everyone I know getting the hell out of there, it somehow has become less important) => mostly my lodgings in La Sapienza for that talk with Quies :P Great Plains => the campfire Port Royale => the lower section near Kusin
Oh and Forlorn Caverns when we need that extra little bit of secrecy (just kidding ;P) |

The campfire at Neek's bow store has been used for some pretty wild Elfin meetings! You know how wild those elves can get!! Additionally, since the upgrade the path to the bowshop has seemed to have dissapeared!!
and..........still waiting on those "workable" archery targets (we have to bash em to shoot them) |

Hmm... not sure I want to say where I spend my time.
But, I don't care for the sittables in the wilderness anyway. You can't sort your inventory while you sit on those, and everytime someone leaves the group everybody gets thrown out off their seat. The only advantage is that your head still moves so you can "look at" whoever is speaking. |
Dieties preserve us from the evil chaotics named Lag, Crash, and Server Reset. PCs: Loli Dankirk (Ftr 18/Brd 8.5 @ 1777 hrs) left Vives for Origins; Gnora Gnombody (Sor 5 @ 54 hrs) and Amanda Stark (Wiz 3 @ ~10 hrs) left Vives for Feline Providence. |

Buckshire is perfect for your gathering needs. Its got everything, merchants, and inn (with the local brewed ales as well). For those wonderful nature lovers out there, there is the park in the North East area of the town. A lovely waterfall coming off Buckshire Hill, with a campfire to sit and tell tales around. Plus there are the near by amenites of the Trading Post where you can even brew your own ales!
Buckshire truelly is a town for everyone.

Midor crypts are perfect for your gathering needs. They have everything, from Ghouls, to Ghasts, to Skeletons (With locally raised Mummies as well) For those wonderful undead lovers out there, there are hoardes all around. A lovely aura of death floats around from the numerous skeletons, with a pinnacle to sit on and exchange necromantic lore. Plus there are many on site corpses, where you can even make your own lich!
Midor Crypts truely are a place for everyone.

Aye, i would have to take an agreeing to Fri'el on that one. The crypts are a great place to host your paties too. The dead arent bad, were just misunderstood.
And for any of you looking for a great midnight meal the graves are right out front so grab a shovel and unbutton your pants.
