Port Royale's First Ever Winter Ball

An article in the Port Royale Tribune reads thus:
Tis rumoured that the Fair Queen Aquinas is planning a most majestic event...... Port Royale's First ever Winter Ball! 'Tis believed to be taking place in the rumoured new Crystal Ballroom within the Palace itself, and will be a Black Tie and Ballgown affair.
This reporter has the inside scoop, as always beating our Competitor's and proving the tribune to be the finest non-toilet paper within the Lands.....
Tis even been suggested that Party games will be offered to those in favour after the grand event within Aquinas' halls.... these may or may not include, allegedly, the following:
(1) guess the weight of the half-orc.
(2) Dwarf Tossing (they were careful to point out that this is indeed a non-compulsory event, and that, indeed, the Dwarves are not real, but instead made out of rather lifelike cakes, and that the Palace nor The Queen or state endorses any activity whatsoever. As such there will also be Elf and Halfling along with Human Tossing, to promote equality in our Fair City).
(3) Pass the Acid Flask.
(4) Pin the tail on the Hellhound.
(5) A small auction to win yourself your very own butler or maid for a day!
and other family favourites.
This paper shall of course update one and all as regards any further developments.

This newspaper has since learned from an Official Source and after various complaints emanating from the Dwarven Community..... that in the fairness and promotion of equality amongst races that there will not only Dwarf Tossing but Elf, Gnome, Halfling, Human, Half-elf and half-orc Tossing made available.

Hot off the Press:
After receiving an official complaint from one named Grizzuk.... Goblins it seems have fought their corner and Won an inquest which shall now allow them also to be tossed. Unfounded rumours, and this paper believes they are just that..... mention Half Ogres and a Wealth of others are considering hiring the same legal team to launch lawsuits for severe Discrimination on grounds of Race..... the Palace are yet to repsond in kind. |

Seems they are to have a party here! I wonder if new comers are invited and how one would go about getting an invitation. Would be a great opportunity to meet people.

Well it was origionally posted back in Nov 2003. And I thought that was that time we went to that big undead castle and had to hunt for the witch. And the first person to kill her got a prize, and I think two people won it.
That PR lord dude (Lord Davidan or something like that) said he was taking us to a dance... but he was naughty and took us to the castle instead. The was a big evil Shadow dragon and LOADS AND LOADS AND LOADS OF LAG.
I believe I racked up 7 or 8 of my deaths that day through repeatedly dying despite never actually coming back to life. Or not appearing to anyway. |
