If you think it's an oxymoron, you just havn't played here long enough. Fri'el was my first main PC, back in '03. I've not /had/ one since, now I do. :P

Re: Argh! Posted: 07 Aug 2006 03:41 PM |
What's with all the evil priestesses of Naruth, anyway? Is there no love for Vilyave?! What's a girl gotta do to have some religious guidance?
*Considers it a moment* Nah, I already have a midoran Cleric with a personality disorder. That's a handful in itself. I already have to read up on my psychology notes to play her right. Sorry, I can envision a fun PC too, just don't have the time... Why don't you get a Druid converted? That may be fun... wait... I'm budding an idea... Can Druid's be "clerics" of Vilyave ((w/o the class))? However, you would miss out on the most substancial bonus of a cleric: Raise Dead and Resurrection spells.
*Kalannar re-reads the descriptions of each of the goddesses and frets that he hasn't yet had a girlfriend in Vives... oh yeah, except for that fling with Ana... Oops, did Kal really just think that out loud? She only had about 12 outfits: probably followed at least ONE of the sisters.*

Druids in Vives can raise the dead. |

Do we need to take this to another thread and start a Druidical debate?
Perhaps we could discuss it in Druidic which is surprisingly like Entish in its long windedness. |

Yeah, let's keep this on topic, people: why Naruthians suck.
So tough to be a good guy these days. The evil gods get all the helpful clerics. Good folks get stuck with pathos-ridden paladins. |

Right..
Evil = helpful
Paladins (good) = pathos
got it.
But that would mean that Naruthians obviously do NOT suck.. since they are all evil.
Sorry, but you have apparently been playing a Vilyavian too long and just don't understand that you are on the loosing team. |

Helpful!? You can make a Viv Cleric and you don't need 27 extra weapon feats to make the character because she'll be able to use the spear (is it spear or just scimtar? I can't remember). Juylina, however, needed Exoitic, Ambidexterity, Two weapon fighting because back when I started her, Naruth's weapon of choice was JUST the two bladed sword. That's why she has fighter levels and such high DEX. Otherwise she'd be just a cleric with higher CHA and enough WIS to cast high level spells.
So, mechanically, they have it easier.
RPwise, well, you don't have to deal with the emotional distraught when you realize that everyone hates you and are just being nice to your face because you're so beautiful and they're scared of you. |

YES!!! I'm gonna hve to re-evaluate my druid PC plans! I LOVE VIVES!!! Maybe I CAN make a Druid who serves Vilyave! It just seems to make sense... Jeeze, I'd only have to work her in with my other... 6 PCs I've designed!!! Maybe I'll just stick with Kalannar. That's so much easier. And I like him. =P
A Druidic Vilyave "priestess" DOES sound cool though. Maybe they should get "bird form" where they change into a hawk or something? Better yet: a ROC at high levels!
((nudges Paul as he fervently and feverishly works away trying to keep up with Vives maintenance, who procedes to ignore him.))

Re: Argh! Posted: 08 Aug 2006 07:24 PM |
And Vilyave gets along with Elbereth, unlike Naruth or Helkris. Which is, of course why the two older sisters are so jealous: mom likes Vilyave best.
RP wise, I'm already dealing with the fact that I'm nice but everyone hates me because I'm beautiful and unafraid to speak the truth no matter how much they don't want to hear it. *nodnod*
Yeah, that's what it is... |

YES This is huge. More forms. More forms. More forms! They do not even have to be combat forms. But something that can fly. And normal things like a dog or a cat or a rat or a chicken would make a huge difference for druids.
I'm totally ecstatic with the Roc form idea for Vilyavean druids. What about a dire white stag form for Eberethans? |
