This is something I'd been thinking of myself, so I'd like to do it. If damage dealing and/or other properties could be added I'd suggest +1 enchant (since basic +1 weapons are fairly easy to find) but I'd also add some sort of disease or poison based damage bonus, considering what the shovel has been used for. Alternately or in addition, it could give low-med light and/or a small strength bonus.

Second thought, if it can't be made a weapon, it could give light, a +2 to strength, and allow him to cast disease say..3/per day or somesuch? |

Ideally for me Vives is a tapestry of stories which can be read as a whole book, or individual tales. It's threads are woven by us, the storytellers (players/dms alike), through our PCs lives, their toils, their quests, their interactions with others, their decisions (for good or ill). The level of depth the world has and that we give it depends on how immersed in our own stories (read: PCs personality/dailylife/choices and consenquences thereof/moral code...ect) we are.

A slight rustle of the grass tells her it's time. Rising slowly, her gaze drifts once more from the moon above to the hilled homes below her. Stories come unbidden to her mind, of journeys and those who shared them, and Kree smiles...a melancholy smile, a note clutched in hand. Soflty in halfling to the one always near her, Kriayna muses...'Time fer a new set a tricks an' tales, First Cousin.'......A laugh responds and Kree giggles, skipping down the hill into the shadows. |

On IG/IC help for "newbies":
Perhaps we could have a pinned post here in the forums where players could post if their PC is willing to offer IG assistance and what they'd be known for.
For example.....if you ask around Port Royale you'd likely hear of Kree...real cheerful half-elf girl, ... |
