| 2. | I fear that this is a really stupid question but..... Posted by devilsadvoc8 on 7/1/2004 10:20:18 AM Foli Silverdeep finally took Power Attack as a feat. Since taking it, not once has it been an available option during combat (always greyed out). I hope this is the appropriate place to post this question vs the DM channel IG. |
| 3. | Re: I fear that this is a really stupid question but..... Posted by devilsadvoc8 on 7/1/2004 10:53:00 AM No I haven't quickslotted it. I'll try that next time I am IG. |
| 4. | Foli Silverdeep's arrival in Vives Posted by devilsadvoc8 on 6/30/2004 1:46:42 PM Also named "There and hopefully back again......"
Adolescence was difficult for Foli Silverdeep for he was a late bearder. Foli didn’t start to show a beard until more than ten years after his peers. This led to incredible ridicule in the Dwarven City of DiamondDeep. (Note: DiamondDeep is the capital city of the Dwarven kingdom of Arghrut. Arghrut is located in the Blue Diamond Ranges of a continent far across the eastern sea from Vives.) Foli was the third son of the ... |
| 5. | Re: Foli Silverdeep's arrival in Vives Posted by devilsadvoc8 on 6/30/2004 1:48:05 PM Sorry this is late in coming. I had written it when Foli was created but never posted it. Its probably too long but just wanted to give Foli's background to any who care.... |
| 6. | Re: Important: Crafting feedback Posted by devilsadvoc8 on 6/6/2004 10:38:05 AM My PC, Foli, is just beginning to get into crafting. As a dwarf, I have started with forging and weapon and armor crafting. I read this thread with great interest as I wanted to see what I was in store for.
It seems a lot of players find it difficult because of the wide variety of skills needed and the effort required to increase the skill to create an item of more utility than a copper dagger. I actually don't see a problem with the wide degree of skills necessary to make some of ... |

To me fellow dwarves
I was practicin me forgin last nite when I had a vision of Bregodim. He wanted to deliver a message to the leader of da axe. Bein the only one in da hall I swore an oath that I twould deliver his message to our cause.
He told me in dis vision dat the filthy orcs know of ours intentshuns and are raisin an army demselves.
He also told me dat ... |

| 9. | Re: Feedback from a Newbie Posted by devilsadvoc8 on 2/5/2004 4:15:54 PM Evaramier, I have to agree with you on many points. As a newbie I have had a difficult time finding things to do w/o visiting the seven sisters unintentionally. It would help if there was a known meeting point for low levels to gather so that they could go out together rather than sniper mode. I am in EST and I have yet to find another low level to group with. (Granted I have been on the server less than 10 hours but still.)
I too enjoy the premise of Vivies and appreciate the ... |
| 10. | Re: Apologies Posted by devilsadvoc8 on 2/20/2004 11:46:44 AM Well I am in the same boat. I have in the past used the players stone to go to that strange place in the sky. I haven't been in parties much so I don't know how this is received. Does anyone have any thoughts how to best handle such real world priorities? |
| 11. | Re: Apologies Posted by devilsadvoc8 on 2/20/2004 12:46:19 PM I guess my post wasn't as clear as I wanted it to be. Of course my two little ones are going to be my priority, but what I meant to ask was:
Does anyone have any suggestions as to the best way to drop out (Player stone or just drop entirely)? When working with a DM should I let them know and the rest of the party that I may drop out unexpectantly and then come back in? or should I just let the DM know only so as to stay IC as much as possible?
I would hope that people ... |
| 12. | Re: Mailbox bugs and a request Posted by devilsadvoc8 on 2/20/2004 11:41:53 AM Well, I am quite new at Vives but it seems to me that we are missing an obvious point: large stores of gold with no use.
If people can't buy anything because the merchants don't have anything at that cost and they just hoard the gold, then something is out of whack. This hasn't impacted my lowly character, I need every gold piece I can find but it may in the future.
Solutions?:
(1) a donation to a church for goodies and maybe donation to evil causes for the ... |
| 13. | Re: Words and spelling. Posted by devilsadvoc8 on 1/26/2004 5:05:16 PM I just got a new pc and decided that office at several hundred was a bit too rich for my blood. I dl'd openoffice. Its not bad. As with any transition there is a learning curve to get to know its interface but overall the WP functions are great. I would add a word of caution, however. If you want db capabilities and/or use very large spreadsheets openoffice is not the same as MS Office. there is VERY limited db in openoffice and the spreadsheet is much slower when ... |
| 14. | Re: Words and spelling. Posted by devilsadvoc8 on 1/26/2004 10:53:09 PM I appreciate your comments. This was directly from MS ( i ordered from them, billed by them & shipped from them)- the catch is if i leave my current employer, license is void. |
| 15. | Re: Words and spelling. Posted by devilsadvoc8 on 1/27/2004 9:02:55 AM PDWalker, thats great info on the db stuff. I will try that tonight. |
