Happy birthday, Aria! :)

*On a regular morning, as Aldred walks along the streets of Midor, on his way to his prayers to Temple Midoran, he suddenly spots Callia around the corner. Smiling, he corrects his simple clothes, and walks over to her...*

Greetings, and a fair morn to thee, Lady Callia.

Now, hrm... *Apparently, he's trying really hard not to sound too nervous, as he flexes a little and his eyes twitch a bit* I've been wanting to ask you, m'Lady... I hear there's a Winter Ball coming up ...

*Smiles kindly as ever, his pride and selfesteem not scratched by the least* Ah, but none to worry, m'Lady... I should've known you had already been asked.

Nevertheless, I intend to ask Jone Eagle. She's a fine lady, and a priestess of some repute.

*Waves kindly goodbye, as he hums along the way back to the Midoran Temple*

*Aldred wanders the streets of Midor rather restlessly... with Jone Eagle having other plans as well, he cannot seem to think of anyone more appropriate to ask than the ever so beautiful young Lady Arizzle he met briefly a few days ago... pondering, he goes out in a search for her.*

Well, I honestly couldn't agree anymore to this award. I've only met Pickston a few times, unfortunately, but today I met both him AND Jessup while I was traversing the mountains (and getting my bullocks handed to me on a silver platter by hill billies) with my comrade, Nero. Admittedly, and yeah it's the truth, I was totally cracking up behind my monitor and had to step away a few minutes and wipe a few tears away... yall should've been there... a true kodak moment!

I still play BG2 (I havn't played the first one yet, but I'll get it when I see it somewhere) I've played BG2 through about four times now, and I plan to play through it again soon. I love that game.

OMG, you haven't played the first one!?!? *Eyes pop out in astonishment* Dude/Dudette, go rob a bank and grap it, sheesh! o.O

Thanks for all these incredible compliments, people... I treasure it tremendously.

As I said above, my preferred line of style are somewhat another. It's a wickedly more evil and bizarre atmosphere, and infused with erotic and "sexual" content. In my opinion, it's nothing overwhelming or absurd, but some might find it... unappealing :)

If you don't like what you see, simply don't click in on the website, because there's a place for everything in the world, if you ...

Ok, so... I'm still leaving out the more bizarre pieces *Shrugs*

Hello everyone,

I've been considering wether or not to make some of my artwork (mostly oil- and canvas paintings and digital images) be available for this great community here on Vives to look upon. My reason for not doing so, although I've decided differently, is that there are "some" people that might feel inclined to abuse this privilege, and thereby copy, and spread, the images and/or use them at their own discretion. I put my trust in you all, that this will not happen ...

Actually, I made a portrait pack with around 12 or 14 images in it, but I recently messed a tad too much with my computer, so I had to format my C drive *ducks from the hurled stones*

Keep up the great work, Bassa! Look forward to seeing more!

Mmm-heh... these are only a selected handful, and the style is actually much more dramatic and melancholic than what I usually paint... my preferred style is... uhh, slightly more erotic, and as I have no wish for offending anyone, I picked these instead.

Posted by bassa on 2/4/2004 2:04:55 PM
I've previously asked for it, and now I will do so again... I play a Paladin of Midoran, but I tend to run into some... minor issues *ahem* which provides a tiny portionof dilemmas and troubles, every now and then *Points to the big cheesy-looking, neon-flashy sign where Fri'el asked me to recite the Midoran Paladin's "Code of Honor"*... I have NO IDEA, whatsoever, what Midoran is all about and what he stands for... :P

Please, please, please... pretty please... I would love ...

Ermm..M'bad... I was trying to make the Paladin squirm, not the player have to um.. do extra stuff OOC... sorry =P

Far from it, Barnas... you did great imo ;)

Haven't found it yet, is it in the module? If not, I would love to have it added.
17.Re: Paladin Detect Evil? Anywhere?

I wholeheartily accept the no, but on the other hand, not all players playing Paladins use the tool in a way not fitting for every situation. Some of us uses it the way it's supposed to be used, ie. as an enhancement to every single roleplay aspect. Ruining a characters personal storyline, lies far away from what it actually might accomplish. ;)

Anyways, the -no- is accepted :)

Its has no possible RP aplications whatsoever.

It all comes down to what kind of player that plays the Paladin, friend... I suspect that that is why the DM's wanted clearance for a player to be allowed to play one.

Best regards,

bassa

Posted by bassa on 2/2/2004 3:42:44 PM
Aye, I agree to a certain point, admittedly... however, knowledge such as that gained from a Detect Evil ability, can be used in sophisticated manner, all around... it all depends on the player playing the Paladin.

The usual Paladin crusade with: "Hrmm, that guy looks mean... *Eyes narrow and POOF comes the tool in use* Aha! He's evil... Let's have at it, boys! *Waves to all his polly friends to simultaneously attack the suspected evil guy*"... is by all means not worth ...

21.Re: Donation Altar or NPC!
Posted by bassa on 2/3/2004 3:49:48 AM
You know, someone -might- (just might have) missed my entire point. The point I was trying to make with the donation of Paladins was not one of being rewarded for doing what they are -supposed- to do, ie. donate their excess riches, but merely being -able- to do so.

I could seriously care less for rewards every time I pop in a bag of gold at the church's temple, I just wanted to be able to do so. It's part of roleplaying a Paladin, so... *shrugs*
Others however, might feel ...
22.Donation Altar or NPC!
Posted by bassa on 2/2/2004 3:06:47 AM
Greetings there,

I would like to see a possibility for Paladins to donate their gold, without having to do it directly to a DM (as they're not always around). Perhaps make one of the NPC's in Midoran's temple accepting Donations when you've got a hoard of gold to spare.

Or perhaps place an altar in the temple to allow donations to be placed upon it, the function would be much like a trash barrel, but also another thing; Maybe make it so that your character gets ...

I really like the altar idea... and think Fen has designed something way earlier on to benefit the character as well. Though just by donating gold/items are a lil' too iffy for my taste... (MMORPG-tastic) Ideas to make it less "linear", if at all?</color>

Well, you could make lots of small quests as well (meaning alot more work for you guys), to make it less linear, but I don't think it could be done any other way. It might ...
24.Re: Donation Altar or NPC!

Aye, both gold and items, indeed...

Am rather used to being awfully broke all the time, seeing as my Paladin donates everything he finds. It's fun, but it makes it.... uuurgh!!! HARD to survive, hehehe.

I wager he'll be cruising zombies at level 1million, still wearing a very, very worn down banded mail and a sword that wouldnt even compare, efficiency-wise, to a rusty babyspoon while screaming in anger; "See me, fear me, now die... and gimme your gold, 'cause my ...
