Scabbards, pouches, backpaks for character models. To make us look more like adventurers! Weighs in at a hefty 0.32 MB. ;-) |
| 2. | Re: HakPak Requests Posted by HurricaneMasta on 8/5/2003 2:40:46 PM Ok, I looked through a bunch of hakpaks on NW Vault, and I thought these few might be cool as well. I can't vouch for the stability of any of them, or the usefulness, but hey...I'm just an idea man! Also, I hope my HTML comes out right. ;-)

Thanks, Dens! |
| 4. | Re: xp system Posted by HurricaneMasta on 8/23/2003 6:09:13 PM I agree with Pokeundi's philosophy that solo'ing *should* be dangerous. While I'm not necessarily advocating a 24 minute rest interval, I think somewhere between 10-20 or so would be sufficient. When I'm out doing things, adventuring with a party, or RP'ing somewhere 10-20 minutes can go so quickly that I don't even notice! Indeed, there will be times that you're out exploring, step on a strong trap, and you're inches from death -- hence the danger in going it alone. Resting should be a ... |
| 5. | Re: We Would Value Some Feedback! Posted by hurricanemasta on 8/3/2003 10:30:28 AM Hi all, I've logged about 10-12 hours in Vives, and here's what I've got to say:
First off, I love it! The players are great, and it's wonderful to have DM's around on a consistent basis. 10-12 hours in game, and I've already been involved in 4 DM events!
Anyway, let me provide the *constructive* feedback, which is what you're looking for. Like IceFalcon said, there is a distinct lack to mundane ammunition for ranged weapons. I use a sling, and I've run into the same ... |
| 6. | Re: Pre EpisodeOne Storyline? Posted by HurricaneMasta on 8/18/2003 4:21:09 PM Ya. I'll be on for 3-5 hours every week in September, easy. |
| 7. | Re: Gold Encumbrance System? Posted by HurricaneMasta on 8/18/2003 3:34:59 PM I actually think this is a bang-up idea. While Dens' idea for taxation is ingenious, I think it will end up punishing players without a lot of gold. Also, it seems to me that just coming up with methods to make things cost more, or have more "cool" stuff to buy is kind of arbitrary.
I think gold should have weight, and that people should be able to store it in the persistent chests that will eventually be in character's rooms. That way, it will still be a pain to store ... |
| 8. | Re: Raimonds' Last Tale Posted by HurricaneMasta on 8/7/2003 3:13:08 PM “Well, back say…350 or so years ago, your old grandpaw and your great uncle, Dunnabar were what passed for lieutenants in our clan’s “Battlerager” troop. Ahh…I can see the questions in yer eyes, young’uns. Aye, your grandpaw had a brother, and you had a great uncle. But, that what this story’s about.”
“Now…what’s that, Fyrlynn? You don’t know what a Battlerager is?? What’re you teaching these kids these days?!” Raimonds called into the kitchen past the sounds of clinking ... |
| 9. | Raimonds' Last Tale Posted by HurricaneMasta on 8/4/2003 2:30:40 PM “Oof…oh…hehehe! Easy with your old grandpop, there, Jhaster!” Raimonds chuckled as his pudgy grandson climbed energetically up onto his knee.
“Now now, settle down, Maegara, and sit nicely next to your brother. And you three in the back, stop pinching each other! Your grandpop’s gonna tell you one last story before he gets on, and I want you to all to hear me good…because it’ll be a while before you get another.”
“Why, Gran-dad?” asked a rosy cheeked dwarven cherub at ... |
| 10. | Re: Art craft skill Posted by HurricaneMasta on 8/5/2003 9:22:48 PM Sculpture, too. Either by using a type of stone (granite, marble, etc.), or perhaps wood. You'd need tools befitting your medium, such as chisels for hard substances, knives for soft. |
