| 1. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Game_Warden on 9/19/2007 10:41:22 PM Yes, I was present to make your lives difficult and learn from Mr. Sprinkles' evil when I was not up to snuff. The additional extra monsters were my idea, and I am impressed that you survived my inclusion of some uber vampires. The party was in fine form.
I also want to second the SHOUTOUT to Renter for taking it upon himself to bring the players together for some IG action. You are the stuff that Vives is made of. |
| 2. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Game_Warden on 10/20/2007 11:47:54 AM Thanks guys. It was fun. I did not expect the moral dilemma at the end - as I thought we'd wrap it up right after you retrieved the black crate. SORRY! I really thought we only had 30-40 minutes left. Turns out it was more like 70. You are to be commended, all of you, for sticking it out.
I was also impressed by the group's Role Playing. It was a pleasure running that event for you. Each of those characters is very well developed.
And now for some behind the scenes ... |

Thursday huh? well well well. Now all I need is freetime. Let me get back to work and manage these projects into submission. |
| 4. | Re: *is still alive* Posted by Game_Warden on 8/19/2009 6:59:47 PM I'm still alive, but struggling through some late nights with the Kreemorian Fangor Beast. Nevertheless I still on a rare occasion log in. |

| 6. | Re: Fond memories. Posted by Game_Warden on 7/9/2009 10:29:49 AM There aren't many people playing in the world. I do play sometimes. As do a couple others.
I think we just need to see a return to critical mass. If three people are frequently online, you will likely see others begin to log in again. |
| 7. | Re: Fond memories. Posted by Game_Warden on 7/12/2009 10:16:07 PM This was in the works for awhile, but then I think the tight economic times ate up folks free time.
That said, you should simply go back to the previous version so that you can log in and play. |

| 9. | Re: What Level is This Area? Posted by Game_Warden on 8/21/2008 5:47:57 PM The entire sewer is actually much more dangerous than it at first appears. There are references throughout the forums to necromancers and what not dwelling there.
While some areas have lower level challenges than others, anything that isn't patrolled by a friendly guard type NPC is not safe for any solitary character regardless of level. As a general rule of thumb areas are progressively more dangerous the further you get from a "safe" zone.
All that said, I feel ... |
| 10. | Re: What Level is This Area? Posted by Game_Warden on 8/21/2008 6:39:06 PM The area may not be particularly well designed. I'm not going to say much about that. It does however have an IG purpose for appearing as it does however odd it happens to be.
So again, I hear your frustration. I've been through the same thing. BUT my points above stand. Whether or not you can solo any area doesn't mean much when a DM isn't on.
Adventure at your own risk when soloing. Vives is VERY dangerous. Few other worlds like it are as difficult to solo. |

| 12. | Re: Baldrin beats another dead horse: Monks. Posted by Game_Warden on 8/17/2008 3:42:40 PM A Monk should have when starting out at the absolute minimum a master from which to learn. Asashi is the most convenient place to find a master. No others are common knowledge.
I agree that a Monk has a special set of skills that require training - at least to start out on the path.
Given the above, it is much easier to start out as a monk, and then stray to other classes.
Baldrin, I see no reason why Turandir could not have started out as a Monk then digressed ... |
