Please post links to any nice hakpaks you find for possible use in vives below.....

just post the link/address where they can be found and a brief description and we'll look at incorporating them in vives as slong as they are small(ish) and suitable.

*Bump*

I'd likely be doing the Hakpak rehaul after we 'officially' uses SoU (by next weekend), so feel free to keep the suggestions coming.

As for types of food enabled for resting... that's a scripting-issue that could (or should?) be work on without additional hakpaks (unless different food-graphics are what you're looking for).

Well, there are 2 approaches:

1) All other food types suffice same as rations. So lugging around tuna doesn't give you any bonus over rations, or sea bass, or whatever. This is easy to do/implement.

2) We could make different types of food give different benefits when resting, such as fewer/more HPs, etc. The main problem with implementing this is that when you rest and you have one of each food type, which one gets eaten, and thus which benefit do you receive? Ideally, the PC would choose, but every time you rest do you want a dialog popping up asking you for your dinner choice? I started down the path of making special food items, but this problem is why I didn't continue.

This one is pretty boss. Adds in a couple of shields a short spear and a Two-handed Hammer!!

This one is for a pack of Vipers and Snakes of different sizes and looks, which looks darned cool! And one which we could get a lot of use out of........ think Rattlesnakes in the Desert, Poison Vipers for assassination plots etc........ extracting venom from differing types for use within crafting and CNR etc etc......... :P

Interactive Door System by Syrsuro

This is a cool door script that opens a conversationn window on certain doors allowing you to make certain checks for certain actions. For example:

You can have a spiked door, or locked door that require a certain strength check to force.

You can perform a search check to look for traps.

You can perform a listen check to listen to whats on the otherside

You can knock on the door and have an NPC open it.

And of course you can put lockpick checks on it too.

It was implemented on the Mod several of us played yesterday and I was very impressed with it. And looking at this, there seems to be all sorts of cool features you can add to it.

Well, after reading some of vampire TDA book, i thougt of making a new vamp race for nwn and vives, and i made a script for such,
the bad point, is that camps are too hard for me to make (this was my first script) so i just made some widgets for lycentropes..

the main idea is that these are items that DM's will give to lycentrope PC's
so they will be able to turn into the hybrid form and the normal form of their animal,
you just activate the item, and when you start to rest you are back to your normal form,

i thougt about vives and about the good RPers i see here (both Dm's and players), so i decided it wont need any will checks or fort check etc etc cuz i think it will be much funner to RP it instead of roll things...
(okok AND i couldnt make them! are ya happy? =P, now reall.. i think you are great ppl!Wink)

and there are some crap at the start of the script ( i took the base form a script at nwvault) which i duno why is needed, but if i del it .. it didnt work...

hmm, i took more than one script, i dont realy remmember,
and i got no idea what's the things after the start are doing (i will look into this)
well, that's 6 items, cuz i duno how to put two unique abilities in one item =P
if i knew it was only 3...
and they are stealable which i duno how to solve =/

but i think i will work with the toolset today, so i will figure it up =P

We're actually looking into a curious novel solution to these things... 'll keep you updated. If that works... it'd be quite interesting ;)

Scripting-wise...

'the things after the start': those are probably remnant checks from SoU (and can be safely deleted) official campaign.

'Two unique abilities in one item': you'd probably want to be able to switch between the two modes by (i) carrying/equipping certain items, (ii) switch via a conversation.

'cow': that's because the default polymorphs (as denoted in polymorph.2da & nwscript) doesn't have 'rat' as a polymorph. Hey, who wants to be a rat? ;)

I am not sure about the checks after the start..
i tried to delete it, but then it didnt work =/

i didnt have much time to check it out (cuz i now that if i will go into the scripting editor again i will be there for hours, trying to make sun exploding vamps =P )

the conversation might work there.
but the more serious problem, is that these items are stealable, and i got no way how to make them un stealable =/

Some very very cool Illitihids made by CODI and recently released. Thanks to Feldin and DiabloStan for pointing them out. Definitly check out the 10 minute .mod that comes with it for a good laugh as the CODI folk's show off some cool animations and 'masks'.
