Strange model for head :: fix needed if possible Posted: 21 Dec 2003 04:16 AM |
When I started in Vives, I waited newest patch to apply so I may choose hotu-heads. I nstalled toril's headpack while waiting. I tried it to make char after patch, and didn't see the correct head in there.. I choosed another, I thought that it wouldn't be not allowed to choose hotu-heads. Now I tested on my own server to take some screenshots about that head which I love and which comes with hotu, I didn't see it. Just toril's heads. So I deinstalled toril's headpack and there that great head was again. So now I'm not using toril's headpack for getting hotuheads to seen correctly, but there is just one problem. My char doesn't even had a head anymore because I haven't got that headpack.
If there is any way to change my head to become that elfhead, forefront hairs binded back of the head. Pretty long hair and black colour, I would be glad It's hard to even take my own char respectful without head. And others has said as well that they didn't see my head.
I'm not gonna remake(against the rules and doesn't sound good option for this) nor make new char(I love this char :))
FIX: make Toril's headpack not to mess with hotu-ones and change my head please :)
Sorry if this post doesn't make sense. But I hope that this thing will be looked at..

Toril's headpack does clash with the HOTU heads. Which sucks.
If it -can- be fixed, it would be nice- but I don't reckon it would be Vives who fixes it, and I don't know how it could be done. It'll probably be done by Toril themselves, eventually.

| yeah, i removed the headpack long enough for me to pick the HotU head i wanted and then put the headpack back in. Seems to work ok that way. |

*nods* Since the heads are going into the override folder, the numbering on them is overriding the HotU heads. I would imagine its just a matter of renumbering the files there. I'll look into it after I get back home (when I have HotU) and maybe check with Toril to see if they have any plans to make the changes themselves.
I guess if you have HotU, and no longer want the Toril heads (is there any point to keeping them with the HotU heads?) you can delete all the files in the override folder that have 'head' in the name. |

| Well without the Toril heads some characters appear to have no head at all. And that's kinda eerie. ;) |

| Toril doesn't plan on doing the update till sometime after the new year. So I would guess that the heads will most likely follow soon after. Only a couple of weeks then until we can stop talking to headless figures. |
