How it all started.

Vives actually started as an outlet from another PW called LansofLore (herein referred to as LOL). It began with Icy Vale using the old hak for winter areas, and was merely a place to head (hosted from time to time on my PC and 56k) when that server was down.
Some old-schoolers such as Chief/Lytton/Glew/Merum/Pickston (Elosas on LOL if memory serves? Elf King.....!), headed on over and had a blast. Aria then joined in the chaos, and we thought it would be fun to create a world based on what we had. Aria came up with the name, herself and others contributed to lore, Quietus did the magic regarding code/persistency along with the website (from scratch), and I started building/creating like a madman!

That's when NWN began to be something special for me. At first NWN was the single player stuff and lands of lore.... While I met some good folks on lands of lore it was basically one large grief fest. If that is all I ever experienced NWN would have been shelved quickly. I would have bought the expansions, I would have enjoyed HotU then it would have sat idly until I needed disk space then been uninstalled.
Occasionally I still have nightmares about hulk redtiger and his pack of griefers. I swear there were times going through an area I would wonder if I'd still have underwear on by the time they was done stealing from me. Everything... -everything- even the armor of my back would get pickpocketed.
Thankfully I did meet a few roleplayers there. It was the first time I truly roleplayed online. |

Ah Hulk. I remember him I was leaving LoL as he was coming in. Yes he indeed made it a grief fest and a PvP server. Somehow I was in charge of the orcs on that server....shocking I know. I came back every once in a while and heard all the grief that was going on. Sad. I was a fun server when it started. However thankfully I always hung with a very sorted lot on LoL i.e. Ara, Lytton and dont forget Gorak!!! . Yes Ara Pick was king of the elves..ELosas. I remember going to Ara's server and having a great time with the players. That was the beginning! What a time! To think it was that long ago. Cheers to the old memories and hopefully some new ones!
