...Is my lazy excuse.
Well, that, and caring for his baby. Actually, that's better. He's staying at home, caring for his wife and son.
The fact of the matter is, I enlisted with the United States Army two weeks ago. My paperwork finally went through (and that is a very painfully long story), so after all the waiting I jumped on the first quick-ship date available. That date? Tomorrow, October 20th, 2009.
I'll be gone for three months, getting my a$ into shape in basic training. During which I'll be offline for good. After that, I go through my job training, and eventually I might have privileges which will hopefully include personal computer use, at which point I'll get on Vives again (or, at the very least, the website).
I've spent the last few days packing. I'm sure you all can imagine the stress. If I seemed distant, or distracted, or simply not all there, that's probably because I was dancing between boxes, trying to make this fit or switch those things around or find something my parents wanted or needed...Last night was hell for me, and I feel really bad for not getting to play as much as I wanted to, but I had to be sure my stuff would be all squared away so my family could deal with it.
Anyway. Thanks a lot, everyone, for the blasty-blast (and a half) that was the Arcotiri quest line. It was so fun and refreshing to see old faces and new after being away for so long. And thanks to everyone I've played with in the last few weeks, even if it was for only five minutes, it definitely made my brief return so very worth it. Thanks for the experiences and the plain old fun that keeps us coming back to Vives.
