Stay Out!

A sign placed in front of the Halls of Bregodim doors:
STAY OUT!
DWARVES ONLY!
Balthor hammered the sign into the ground, wiping sweat from his brow. He had spent the better part of the day putting out fires, cleaning up debris, and sealing tunnels and holes.
"Can't believe I found a dern elf in 'ere, Bruce." he grumbled, shutting the doors behind him as he walked back into the main hall.
"I know! What's up with that?" the bat familiar squeaked, swatting at small flying creatures as they passed.
"Dern elf. 'Where's yer clan?' he says. They're everywhere. Gotta bring 'em back t'their rightful home." The old dwarf sighed, standing in front of the large, still glowing statue of Bregodim, his god. He spoke out to the statue, as he had many times.
"I'm sorry, lad. We'll git this mess figgered out, git th'kin home. An' woe be t'anybody I find ain't belong 'ere." |
